i was gonna say Slut Chorus Boy, but then... that's not from a musical.
So then i was gonna say Lost in the Wilderness from Children of Eden, but that's not broadway or off-broadway by the actual definitions... sooooo.... what to choose...
i'm cheating and calling it a tie: I Am What I Am and Corner of the Sky
But if we can bring in movies... Here's Where I Stand from Camp

Posted: 3/31/05 at 1:09amI don't know why, but the first song that popped into my head when asked this question was Opening Doors from Merrily We Roll Along. The second song that popped in was Joe Papp from Elegies: A Song Cycle.

Posted: 3/31/05 at 1:15amI would have to say One Day More from Les Mis. What a great way to end a first act!! Always gets me so excited.

Ha surprisingly I never really thought about how hard a question like this would really be. I can barley think of a favorite song just from RENT, ‘cause that can totally change by my mood. But I’d have to say…
Light my Candle & Out Tonight ~ RENT (sorry I couldn’t pick just one!!)
On My Own ~ Les Mis

Good, hard question, but if I can only pick one
Without You from RENT

Hi!
I'd have to say it's a tie between "Music of the Night" from POTO and "Defying Gravity" from Wicked. I just can't choose!

"Some People" from Gypsy. Somewhat the story of my life....LOL
re: Your One Song#63
Posted: 3/31/05 at 1:50pmIt changes all the time.Right now it's Defying Gravity.
re: Your One Song#64
Posted: 3/31/05 at 2:27pmwell, right now I would say that "There's a fine fine line" is the song I love most...but "On my own" comes to a close second place...yup, lately I just keep listening to these songs...they're so beautiful

Posted: 3/31/05 at 4:29pmMy all time favorite is "LOST IN THE WILDERNESS" from Children of Eden. Darius deHaas is amazing on that song. That song is so incredibly impressive and to make it even MORE impressive the CD is a whole step higher than the sheet music, meaning he's belting out like a "C" on that adlib. CRAZY!

Posted: 3/31/05 at 4:34pmActinggbugg, i was JUST posting Lost in the Wilderness. It's been my favorite for ages.
re: Your One Song#67
Posted: 3/31/05 at 4:59pmI second GIMME GIMME from TMM. ITs definitly on my list, I have a tape of the show and when I hear the scene before it leading in it makes me think of what a person needs to be happy and when Sutton sings it, its brilliant.

Way too hard!!! I've got to pick more than one:
In His Eyes - Jekyll and Hyde
Lily's Eyes - Secret Garden
As Long As You're Mine - Wicked
3...that's the best you're going to get from me.
