Sadly missed so much of what I wanted to see this year.  But:

Illinoise was absolutely mesmerizing.

Loved Cabaret with the Lambert led cast.

I saw 90 shows in 2024 between New York and London this year (plus some more local shows). After a lot of thought, here are my Top 10 favorite experiences in alphabetical order:

THE BAKER'S WIFE - Menier Chocolate Factory, London

BOYS FROM THE BLACKSTUFF - West End, London

CULT OF LOVE - Broadway, NYC

AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE - Broadway, NYC

GYPSY - Broadway, NYC

ILLINOISE - Broadway, NYC

OEDIPUS - West End, London

THE OUTSIDERS - Broadway, NYC

STANDING AT THE SKY'S EDGE - West End, London

STEREOPHONIC - Broadway, NYC

HONORABLE MENTIONS: FOLLIES IN CONCERT at Carnegie Hall, an incredibly well-acted local production of THE DUCHESS OF MALFI, and our local high school's production of THE JAMES PLAYS which I directed and just loved the experience of so much.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENTS: Jamie Lloyd's Romeo & Juliet on the West End, The Great Gatsby on Broadway, The Duchess on the West End, The Wiz on Broadway, Your Lie in April on the West End.
