I'm surprised only one of you said The Music Man. It's done so often, and for the life of me, I can't understand why. It's really stupid show with only ok music. I've performed in it and seen it performed.
Actually, Wicked has a great plot, lots of questions to be debated by its audience, and an amazing score. The lyrics are so meaningful. As is the show. Music Man doesn't make you think about anything: it has no point!
Our season at SUNY Cortland this year is "Merrily we Roll Along" by Sondheim, "The Importance of Being Earnest" and one of my all time favorites, "Anything Goes". Last year we did "Chicago", a brand new play by a local writer entitle "Round O and Crooked S". We also did "The Mystery of Edwin Drood"
