I find this more intriguing than The Great Gatsby musical. I enjoyed the Prime series, Z: The Beginning of Everything with Christina Ricci which dealt with the relationship between Zelda and F Scott, and I can see how it could make a good musical. I listened to the demos, and I like the style of music. The lyrics for each song basically consist of repeating a few lyrics over and over, so the songs are not telling any stories or creating any poetic mood at this stage of development. I think it has potential, though.
The concept album is out today before their run in London in the new year. Jessie Mueller seems to be the main vocal lead on the album. I wish she was doing the London run.
Ryan Vasquez and Hannah Corneau are also fantastic!
Seems a little unusual that this is premiering in London but has Americans as the director (Michael Greif), two writers, producer, co-designers, orchestrator, ad agency, and co-star. But London may afford it a quieter start than premiering someplace like MCC or the Public, assuming New York is the end-goal.
So no connection to the Frank Wildhorn musical about them... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waiting_for_the_Moon_(musical)

There's a whole Wikipedia page about portrayals of F Scott Fitzgerald. This isn't the first, and it won't be the last.
