Same. It feels like it isn't quite sure it knows where to go. The whole office dynamic is off with Joan gone. And her absence leaves a big void. Not really liking how they made the guys in the office more aggressive, for lack of a better term, childish and annoying. And Mo is a bit annoying this season. I hope it all settles in and focuses.

This exactly. I feel that by the end of each episode, nothing has changed, and we've just gone in a circle. (Although the new racial problem is interesting, it may be a tad pandering.)

For me, more than a tad. When I realized where they were going I was like "ok, here is their response." I mean, fine, shows are making their statements but it just felt like they would not have gone in this direction had the past year's events not happened.

And I was hoping that the new character from next door turns out to be gay just so we don't have another man thrown into the mix for Zoey.

Yipes.
This isn't the same show I enjoyed last season. Why did they make Zoey such a slag this season? And really? ...a restaurant that orders food from other restaurants?

Just two of too many unbelievable plot/character disappointments. Yipes.

Yeah, I agree with the Zoey thing.  Coupled with her mother's depression it is puling the lightness of the show down all around. They have sucked all of the fun out of the office scenes. There seems to be a shift of tone with all of the characters.

Next week is their "Winter finale" and will be back in six weeks on a new night (Sundays). Let's hope it's less aimless in the Spring.

I didn't start watching it until late into the first season on Demand and watched the last few episodes on DVR. Didn't realize that its original night was Sunday.
