On Bway? Redhead...? Two Gentlemen. The Magic Show. How well did Once on This Island do? I haven't studied it yet...

It ran for well over a year. Though I'm not sure a revival would do nearly that.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Glory Days?

(I second Captain Hooker's suggestion of CITY OF ANGELS. God, what a fantastic show...)

Evita was the first one I thought of. Was Drood a successful show?

On The Twentieth Century from 1978. Has been revived in regional theatre but I am pretty sure not on Broadway.

I've been saying for quite some time that it might be time for a Crazy For You revival. I'd love to see a Fiorello revival but I'm not sure would go over well.

PIPPIN and GRAND HOTEL

I like City of Angels but am not sure a revival would make it. I think the right production of Pippin, on the other hand, could be an enormous success today.

Sunset Boulevard... I know it was not that successful on Broadway, but I would like to see a revival with a minimalist approach. I think if the bombastic sets were taken away and the show really focussed on the characters and the story then the show would be much more intimate and enjoyable.

I'm not sure how well a Crazy for You revival would do. It's done ad nauseam in regional, summer stock, and educational theatres.

Revivals of Drood, Pippin, Once on This Island, and Tommy would be more than welcome.

Titanic revived on the centennial of the event could work well financially and I have always wanted to see it.

I saw the London revival and it pretty much fit your description. It was fantastic and so well-done. I'd love it if they brought it over here.

I agree that it was an excellent production, though I think it made the weaknesses of the material itself (not the source material but the musical, particularly the lyrics) more apparent.

I am one of the few people who actually love everything about the production... I know I am in the vast majority, but I think it is one of Andrew Lloyd Webber's best musicals. I love the music and the story. The story itself is full of emotion and passion.

What about Funny Girl? Did Papermill ever stage that musical?
