Adam Family Ticket Help!!
 Jan 10 2010, 11:02:41 PM
As Fanb said, go to the box office if you live in NYC. You can also try calling Ticketmaster and getting tickets on the phone. They can also give you some options for seating so you are not limited to what Ticketmaster automatically gives you.
Hope this helps and good luck =]

which show to see?? opinions needed!
 Jan 10 2010, 09:32:49 PM
Hello! As Fanb said, these shows are both very different. If you really want the full theatre/Broadway experience, then see South Pacific. If you just want some fun light entertainment, then see Rock of Ages
South Pacific Closing Date...?

Billy Elliot and Soutch Pacific both make very high grosses every week... Billy Elliot is almost always near 100% and South Pacific is usually in the high 80's% or 90's%... The producers are not going to close a show when it is doing this well. That would make no sense
re: Theater etiquette gone forever?

I just saw the national tour of August: Osage County and there was a woman in front of me who was checking sports scores on her blackberry throughout the entire first act. This was by far the rudest thing I have ever seen a theatre patron do in my life. Someone finally told her that it was bothering them and asked her to put away. When this person told her to stop she acted baffled that she was disturbing anyone.

Scarywarhol ... I am glad you agree! I think it is up there with Phantom (my other favorite of ALW. And yes, there is no denying that some of the lyrics are ... well...

I am one of the few people who actually love everything about the production... I know I am in the vast majority, but I think it is one of Andrew Lloyd Webber's best musicals. I love the music and the story. The story itself is full of emotion and passion.

SporkGoddes... I would LOVE to see a Miss Saigon revived. It is such a wonderful show and I never got to see it.

Sunset Boulevard... I know it was not that successful on Broadway, but I would like to see a revival with a minimalist approach. I think if the bombastic sets were taken away and the show really focussed on the characters and the story then the show would be much more intimate and enjoyable.

BROADWAY!

not Wicked... seeing Wicked is kind of a waste of a show to me. My time in New York is always valuable and I see as many shows as possible. There are just too many shows on Broadway that are way more worth the time and money.

Spider Man

Wow... the set looks awesome! And it looks like the costumes are the same as they were on Broadway. I am also glad it is not the costumes for the European tour... Those costumes are revolting

and..."NETworks is a great touring company which has done very, very well with other shows like Rent, Annie, and Spring Awakening! This show looks good :)"
I saw the NETworks tour of Annie this past weekend and it was horrible. The worst live production I have EVER seen in my life. And NETworks

"WHile I'm suprised as well....the true coming of the end of the world will be when WICKED makes it up there!"

I will cry tears of joy when that happens.

"Well orphan's...just booked it for fall....
Maybe theyll pull what WAS gonna be the plan for young frankenstein and close Phantom and put LND at the Majestic....The plan in 2007 was to close Producers and put Young Frankenstein in the St. James....anywho"

Phantom is not going anywhere... I don't know why some people think they are going to close it... Phantom is doing wonderful and its weekly grosses are pretty good. Anyways, this is NOT going to happen.
