"Yes AKD, but it's one thing when you introduce your pieces and one of them is defying gravity and the panel doesn't let you sing it. I've seen it happen before."

Yes, and as I stated above i'm well aware that anything from "Wicked" is an overdone piece. I wasn't suggesting anything thats so popular that they don't even let you sing it. But, there are other songs that over time have decreased in popularity that used to be overdone but if researched and sung amazingly can be potentially sold to a panel.

"We need people not to come to Broadway shows wearing shorts and flip-flops. We are working hard up here folks. Find a pair of socks."-Joanna Gleason "I hear L. Ron Hubbard is gonna blow the ladies...and all that jazz! C'mon babe! We're gonna unicorn hug, I bought some NyQuil down....at Wal-Mart?!"-Bebe Neuwirth singing ATJ to Musical Mad Libs at DQYNJ :)

Hey, so I have four songs that I am thinking about auditioning with for college. They are my ballad songs bc I already have my uptempo song which is "I Met A Girl" from Bells Are Ringing. The songs are "Now" from Cause Everything Is Breaking Down, "Hero and Leander" from Myths and Hymns, "Leo's Statement: It's Hard To Speak My Mind" from Parade, and "If I didn't Believe In You" from The Last 5 Years. I was just wonderin' what you all think and what you think is most appropriate for college additions. I need help!! Ahhh!!! Thanks.

Hey, sorry to bump this up, but I have an audition that like decides my year at my arts highschool (I'm a musical theatre major). I'm in grade 9, and most grade 9's don't get into theensemble b/c they only take 28 people, but I'm really determined to get in.

The song I'm most likely using is "Life of the Party" from Lippa's Wild Party, I'm keeping the first verse for character (or else the song doesn't make much sense), cutting the second verse, keeping the bridge and not copying Idina's ending. In the score it says improvised solo, so my voice teacher and I changed around some of the stuff so I show off my high belt and my soprano range while keeping the style... thoughts?

Give me a bottle of bourbon and half a chicken and I'll conquer the world!
