The same poster was correct about Tootsie going into the Marquis. I tend to think they are telling the truth about the transfer to the Lyceum.

As of Saturday, I have officially seen Be More Chill.
I do like it. I do. I can see why they'd want to bring it to Broadway. However, I think it needs a bunch of changes before it's ready for the Lyceum. The book needs tightening up, I feel like at least one song could be cut (such a weird song).
Otherwise, I do think it's in good shape, I just don't know how long it could last on Broadway once the fans who can only afford to see it once, see it. I know I want to see it on Broadway as I know someone involved on the production side, but I still don't know if Broadway was the best decision between there and somewhere smaller. I feel like it would have a longer life somewhere like New World Stages.
Just my own opinion though. I really did like it, the more I think about it.

The Pants song. So. Weird. Also maybe the only song I didn't like.

Considering taking my 14 year old students because I know they all want to go. They've seen Dear Evan Hansen. How much more inappropriate is this one?

Posted: 9/28/18 at 1:17pmI would say Dear Evan hansen is more appropriate, theres alot of p*rn jokes, and self harm jokes. But other than that I think its okay.

It's pretty tame, definitely PG-13 territory. I can't remember how many F-words, but not enough to make a significant impression. All in all, I'd put the "adult" material on par with Dear Evan Hansen's, but sillier.
