Are you Yao Ming-sized or Dr. Ruth-sized?
And I bet you had to look up both of them.

Posted: 5/14/07 at 5:25pmThe Broadhurst Theatre isn't very deep, so you can see the stage pretty well from the SRO area behind the orchestra. And their lean-on-wall is cushioned.

Posted: 5/14/07 at 5:40pmThe Winter Garden and Majestic have pretty low standing room walls. If you're short, the O'Neill and the Broadhurst walls are really high, and might best be avoided.

Posted: 5/14/07 at 6:13pmYes, the Broadhurst is cushioned, but it is very high. I am 5'4" and I had a hard time. The wall came up to my chin.

Posted: 5/14/07 at 6:35pmStanding Room for Jersey Boys is pretty good. There is something in front of you to lean on and its not that tall, but its not cushioned.

at the Nederlander...you have something to lean at but it's limited view of the whole set since you cannot see the "second floor" where they have the Life Support Meetings.
If you have a good vision....it is a good view even without a binocular.

do the lottery instead and hope to get the front seat...I cannot answer the orchestra part since I didn't get to seat other than SRO but it's still not bad.
my rating would be 6 out of 10 for the SRO compared to a 10 in the front row :p

Posted: 5/14/07 at 8:33pmCircle in the Square (Spelling Bee) has good Standing Room The theatre is thurst with arena style seating so pretty much any where you stand is decent. You lean against pole, not the most comfortable, but the show is only 90 mins.

Posted: 5/15/07 at 10:53amI've only done standing room twice. At the Shubert for Spamalot on the Friday before Sara Ramirez and Tim Curry left. I got center right next to the board. It was comfortable enough to lean on, maybe a bit short for my height 5'11", but not that bad. Plus being able to watch the guy at the board hit all the cues was fun. I also did it for Vertical Hour at the Music Box. The spaces felt cramped, but I was able to stand back a little bit and lighly lean on the railing for the staircase going down into the lounge.
