Posted: 9/29/06 at 12:48amI might end up being Mark or Angel from RENT. Hedwig from Hedwig and the Angry Inch would be really great to do, but I don't have enough time to make a good Hedwig costume for this year...

Posted: 9/29/06 at 2:09amthe mimi pants issue has come up many times before. the fabric used to be imported from Italy for 400 dollars a yard. then they stopped making it, or it got too expensive to keep using it, so they switched to a different fabric, but still the pants are not made by anyone so you would have to make them yourself.

I'm trying to convince my friends to be ABBA...
If not, we were talking about each being different Disney Princesses.
note: We are mostly gay college boys and a few fruitflies and would probably wear these out to a club.

Posted: 9/29/06 at 3:13amI have a group of friends going as the cast of Drowsy Chaperone. I'm trying to get it on it. I think it'd be funny to be Trixie and just jump up and down in the background trying to be seen.

Oh, but it wouldn't be fun if they did.

Posted: 9/29/06 at 3:52amOne of the ideas some friends and I were kicking around this year was being the musicals of Andrew Lloyd Webber. We were going to like tie a bunch of tin pans to one person and put them on rollerskates as part of "Starlight Express", have somebody else do a Sarah Brightman face and be partnered with Andrew Lloyd as the Phantom, and one of my favorite ideas was having somebody be Laura from "The Woman and White" and have two people holding a looped background on two long poles behind her and spinning the background while Laura walked in place in front of it. Sadly, no one would get it.

Posted: 9/29/06 at 12:37pmI was thinking of going as Sweeney Todd, but more likely I'll probably be Frankie Valli(in the beginning of Jersey Boys), Joe Pesci, or Tommy Devito. More likely it'll be Pesci.

FYI, Munk, that pic of my friend Jackie and I dressed as the witches from Wicked was from a talent show at school, like 2 or 3 years ago. And we used eyeshadow to make her green.
You just LOVE picking on me, don't you? Grow the f*ck up!

I was Mimi last year
The pants were by far the hardest part to find and I went so far as to go to an S&M store to buy them, to no avail. You may have better luck than I did though, they just didn't have anything close to the color.
I ended up finding mine on eBay at the last minute for about $20
