There is a good chance that Avenue Q will be made into a feature film and I dont think there is enough interest to warrant both versions. I ditto BobbyBubby.

A film of the production would be nice, as any regional productions will probably pale in comparison (how will they do the big Kate Monster?)
It was a really cute show, and I'm so glad that I was able to catch it on tour (when I went to Vegas, it just closed like 2 weeks earlier, so I got some of the souvenirs on clearance). It would be fun to relive it with a filmed version.

since when does a show not having choreography A) make it unworthy or B)unworthy of being filmed?
Light in the Piazza has no choreography, just musical staging. Should that not have been filmed? Most Sondheim shows contain zero or little choreography. Should those not have been filmed?
Also, despite its limitations, Avenue Q does have its own version of choreography. The song Purpose would be a perfect example.

It is sometimes difficult to film theatre, and make it interesting enough for a general audience. That's generally why things are significantly changed for film versions. What works on stage might not look as good on screen, and the same goes for things on screen not working for the stage version.
I didn't have a problem with the show at all, but I think some people might criticize it because you can see the actors controlling the puppets, and them not being relevant to the storyline.
