I saw this at the Edin. Fringe this Year - it was great - how long of a run did this have off bway -
Saw it three times.

Was really surprised I liked this show. Glad that I took the free tickets and went. Orfeh was a great singer and performer, and that Leslie Kreitzer (sp?) was hilarious. Silly and corny, but much, much better than expected.
I saw it twice Off-Broadway. I hadn't laughed that hard in a very long time.
Kritzer was HILARIOUS, and Linda Hart was amazing.
It's a fun but dismissable show. However the brilliant and godlike presence of Orfeh lifted it to "classic" status.
Orfeh had a small, forgettable role. Leslie Kritzer owned that stage. I do think Orfeh is immensely talented, but this role didn't give her much of an opportunity to show off her talents. Her role in LEGALLY BLONDE is a better display of her abilities.
I bought the CD last week and to say I was disapointed is an understatement.
There are many threads about this show so a search should help. It was a bit uneven but laugh out loud funny in parts and did have great performers doing their darndest with the material they were given (Hensley, Orfeh, Kritzer, Wilcox) I disagree with alterego and think the cast recording is one of the better ones I own.

How can any role inhabitd by the Divine Miss "O" be 'forgettable"?
Without Orfeh, there simply was no show.
I don't think this point is really up for debate.
Watched it in NY and laughed my arse off, so funny.Leslie Kritzer was the best thing in it, her comedy timing was spot on.
Watched it here in the UK an the fringe not long ago and really enjoyed it, but the cast weren't the strongest
Didn't see the NY production, but it was done here locally to GREAT acclaim and it was INCREDIBLE. I love the material -- it is laugh out loud silly, stupid and hysterical!
I loved this Production and the exceptional talent. It was a tongue and cheek look at American culture of “White Trash”. This show was by no means trashy!

Saw it twice. Disliked it the 1st time. Liked it a lot the 2nd time. Just goes to show that sometimes that 1st impressions are wrong and it takes a 2nd investigation.
Re: Trailer Park? LOVED it, and saw the tour, which was also great. One of my favorite shows.
Linda Hart was my fave but what the hell - they were all great.
truly enjoyed it at New World Stages and it ran here regionally for eight months, minting money....
Maraclea2, you're a sock puppet, and your 15 minutes are running out.

Linda Hart belting on top of the roof of a trailer might be one of my favorite theatre moments of all time.
