who has the final bow...Idina or Kristin?????
Don't they take it together? If I remember correctly, they bow at the same time, but I may be wrong.

Very dumb, yet intersting question.

At last I have obtained tickets to the matinee on Sunday, July 4. Anyone know if I get to see Kristin and Idina? Please let it be so!

Either you do or you don't...gonna have to take the risky chance.

Yes they should both be there on July 4th
I think Idina should get the last bow---her part is more challenging, and the story is based on Elphaba....I think Kristin should bow before her.
I know, I really hate how Kristin is sometimes being labeled as the star of the show. They may be both lead parts, but the show is Elpbaba's not Glindas.

I think it great how they bow together. Eliminates controversy, plus it adds to the friendship that they have in the show.
Actually, from a vocal standpoint, Kristin's part is harder to sing. And don't go giving me the belting a high F crap. Yes, that's very hard, but switching styles is actually harder b/c that F is in Idina's range. They are both hard roles, and the story is told from Glinda's point of view, not Elphaba's. It is the story of Elphaba as told by Glinda. I've been trying to figure out how that effects the meaning, and I'm not exactly sure. It is kind of interesting, though.
I love them both and I guess I keep switching back and forth as to whom I prefer. They are both amazing. Dang!
well, i heard that on 6/17 india came out and when kirsti bent over to bow she walloped her in the back of the head with a bouncing monkey knocking her into the orchestra pit, thus assuring her the last bow. i don't know how long this has been going on or how it's affected their relatioship.
MusicPos2-- You're right. Glinda's part is harder to sing.
The only thing I don't like about the stage version of Wicked is that it's more about both Glinda AND Elphaba, where in the book it was more of Elphaba. It's not a bad thing or anything, but I've always liked the character of Elphie more.
Somehow I doubt that Idina actually pushed Kristin into the pit.
If you think about it, the story begins when she's asked if Elphaba is her friend, and she starts telling them. She's actually breaking the promise she makes at the end that she will not try to clear Elphaba's name. If you think about it, the finale is a reprise of the end of "No One Mourns the Wicked," right before she's asked about Elphaba (she hits the high "Wicked" on both). She's quite conceited, so she tells her story too, but she's really telling the story of her friend, Elphaba. Creates an interesting interpretation b/c you have to remember Glinda's personality. It also proves that one of my co-workers at school is wrong that Glinda is evil b/c she denounces Elphaba (scary that she used to teach English, eh?). Just a little something to think about.

Somehow, I think that was total sarcasm.
who said she pushed her? that doggone india had a bouncing monkey by the tail and wound up like barry bonds going for #677. poor kirsti didn't know what hit her when that monkey's forehead hit the back of her head. man alive! fortunately that devious india timed it to coincide with a cymbal crash so the sickening sound of bone on bone was muted.
That icon is very hard to look at Papa.
i'm sorry, guv, i thought you wanted a big smile.
MusicPos, I really don't think that the story is actually being told to the people of Oz, otherwise the end and beginning wouldn't make sense. I think the story is just being told en media res to add effect...not neccessarily from Glinda's point of view.
