I made one post on the fanadu thread pre-reviews, does that count?

It's so funny, went in thinking this was gonna be the next In My Life, absolutely loved it, and when I began seeing the word-of-mouth, I got a stage seat for the 31st because I was so nervous when once the reviews came out (which I had an inkling would be great), it may be really hard to get tickets for months, just like what happened with Spring Awakening. especially the stage seats.

But so glad, and unsurprised, with the reviews. Barnes aside, almost all the critics I disagree with most even liked it--Matthew Murray, and the worst for me, is my local critic Jacques Le Sourd...panned DRS and raved about Bklyn. I really can't believe even they liked it.

It's nice, I've read so many reviews where I want to scream at the critic: god forbid a show is just fun! This makes up for it.

Three cheers for Xanadu! It's just so exciting that a show that seems so improbable to be embraced especially by critics, gets these reviews.

Mominator.... just checked out the CNN tape---- they used my line about the show being like a Prozac !!! The part where she says "I spoke with one guy, that said the show is like a giant Prozac" :))

Congratulations, fANADU's ! Jaystarr is so happy these last 2 days. I am so happy for you all, you seem great ! I agree taboo (!) We are up for sitting onstage with you guys, but for us it has to be a Sat or Sun matinee, or Sat evening, since we live in Boston; I like your idea though. Let's hope the show runs for a long time....now it looks like it will ! I only saw it once with Curtis, who I though was so good, but Jay went and saw it again when I was working one day-with Cheyenne and I haven't seen him yet; so we need to go again, plus neither one of us sat onstage. It's so much fun to read everyone's experiences, and the enthusiasm is so refreshing. See ya soon !

Well i nominate jaystarr to come up with a date or two to get us going...I think we should hit it the night before, or of when Cheyenne leaves....

ANNNNDDDD we should ALLL defenitely meet at the CAST RECORDING SIGNING- because you KNOW they will turn out for us at the VIrgin Megastore or something....

and then go for margaritas...and watch the show AGAIN.

AND WAIT! STOP THE PRESSES!!!

Yay! I sat on stage for the first time this afternoon. They weren't selling rush tickets....the matinee was almost completely sold out! (From where I sat on stage I could see about four empty seats) I loved getting to sit onstage, and waving my glowstick at the end (it's still faintly glowing in my purse. )!

Oooh! And I bought a zipper pull thingy. So cute!

Hmmm...I can't knit but I used to be able to crochet. I want to find a pattern and crochet myself some fuzzy pink legwarmers!


Sucks! They're performing in Bryant Park the day I leave New York. I'm moving to Seattle.....but oddly I will be stopping back in New York for two days in August.....so I've already gotten tickets to see Xanadu on stage again on August 9th! And I'm taking my sister....I already know she's gonna love it!
