For those of you that have seen the show; do they use any of the original music from the Film Score? It's one of my favorites. Thank you.
From what i've heard they do use similar music to the movie as underscoring, except it's been re-orchestrated and arranged differently from that of the movie.
Do a search...this has been discussed!

None of John Morris' movie score is in the musical version.

No, they don't and I found that to be one of many disappointments with regards to the music and lyrical content of the show. Everything else was amazing.

do you think it will be as big as a hit the producers was.
Do you think you could ask another dumb question?

^Do you think Broadway posters will stop acting sarcastic and rude towards new people? Asking if Young Frankenstein will be as big a hit as The Producers is a valid question that I don't consider dumb..

It's only a question that has been discussed on at least 3 other threads.
I'm going to have to go with IdinaBellFoster on this one. He could at least use a question mark.

"It's only a question that has been discussed on at least 3 other threads. "
So rather than saying this has already been discussed, please search, you respond with "Do you think you could ask another dumb question?" So you're saying then that if someone posted something that has already been discussed, we're supposed to act rude towards them?

Have you seen the threads and questions gypsy4 has posted?
Your thoughts on this subject might change.
What about the frankenstein melody on the violin? they dont use that either?

It (the violin/Frankenstein theme) is very similar. When you first hear it, it's recognizable, but changes at the end of the main melody part enough so they didn't have to worry about sampling or stealing somebody else's music. They already had to pay out for "Puttin' on the Ritz" (unless it's in the public domain?), i'm sure paying for an entire score would've been expensive, plus ruin Mel Brooks's chances at a Tony later.

It might change one's opinion about the relevance of the question but I don't think having scanned those threads will change one's core belief on what constitutes an unjustified, meanspearited, and condescending response.
To the questioner, It will probably receive an equally ovationary public response but critics will doubtless find it necessary to compae YF to "The Producers".

^ Yes and after seeing it last night, I love it way more than the Producers and hope it gets even more success!
