have the standbys had to perform? after the tonys, do you think they will more often? i'm nervouse i'm going to go and one of the actors won't be in it. i don't want to pay and then that happen. hahaha.

In a show like this, with such high-profile actors, if one of them is out, you can get a refund.

Why not though. Understudies are often just as good and sometimes even better than the "big names". I suppose I could understand if one the them were perhaps your absolute FAVORITE actor....otherwise, I don't ever worry about WHO's playing the part.

I personally would never ask for a refund. I'd be upset if one of them were out, but experience has taught me that many understudies are better than the actual person playing that role. But in some cases people mostly want to see those actors performing the material, in which case I could understand wanting a refund.

I believe Gandolfini's standby has gone on once, when Gandolfini lost his voice in previews.

I'm pretty that preview performance was cancelled when Gandolfini was ill.
