I've listened to the Wicked OBC and never picked up on that. Nor did I know the plot of A:OC. I'm neither a child nor an uninterested party.
Some people also pointedly avoid finding out things about shows they are aiming to see (though I knew the story of course, I avoided music/video/photos of the Lord of the Rings musical like the plague before I went and loved it all the more for doing so)

I think he had a spoiler warning before I complained, but the eye moves faster than the hand and the brain had read on before it occurred to the brain to not read that bit. I think this board really needs a good way to screen spoilers, like on the IMDb or something. Just writing

isn't enough to hide the secret info from the average person. Perhaps if we all read things one word at a time and had to really work our way through each sentence, that'd be an effective method. But I'm pretty sure the eye looks at a block of language as a whole and only goes back to break down something unfamiliar or difficult. I know mine does, anyway.

As for PiraguaGuy's pic, I recognise all those pop-culture references. Does that make me supercool, or supernerdy? o_O

Wrong again Piragua.

The spoiler warning was always there. 3 minutes after posting I added that it was an A:OC spoiler. After he complained I italicized it to further differentiate it as a spoiler.

EDIT: Corroborated by Weez himself before I even could.
