if you really were a fan of the show and dying to see it, I assume you are very familiar with the cast recording. That said, you know that Boq sings in "March of the Witch Hunters" the following: "It's due to her, I'm made of tin..."
I've always found it funny that the producers said they didn't include The Wicked Witch Of The East on the cast recording because it spoiled the plot, yet they decided to leave Boq's line in March of the Witch Hunters intact.

Wow, Logan. Now you're an assh0le.
Again, making the assumption that someone has listened to the OBCR of a show before seeing it.
Just step off your high horse for a second and admit that it shouldn't be a thread title. If you were coming on the board to look up if your seating is any good or when an understudy was going on I don't think you'd appreciate having a fairly large plot point revealed.
Its not like I'm having a grievance with it being discussed, I'm just saying that its irresponsible to do so without a spoiler warning.
PERHAPS the person posting the question is a child, or young member of BWW, and isn't 'schooled' in the protocol of posting thread titles, asking questions, etc?
PERHAPS it was a question asked in all innocent honesty.
PERHAPS it wouldn't kill us all to be a little kinder...
Hope the question has been answered to the poster's content!
The 'magic' of a live Broadway production... it's refreshing to be reminded of it.
Well I'll wear that as a badge of honor PiraguaGuy, because it certainly takes one like you to know one.
Thanks, NYadgal.
To the OP: I think you should change your thread title so we can make these whiny people happy again.

Welcome to school.
I am personal friends with they guy who was a swing for boq, and he said it is done with all doubles then puts the makeup on for the hunt and then he takes it off for the bows. He is exhausted at the end of every show!

Whoa, logan, pulling out "it takes one to know one!" Good thing we're in first grade and not on a Broadway forum, otherwise that would just sound like a really bad comeback.
There reaches a point in which twists stop being twists due to general knowledge. For example... no one says 'SPOILERS!! Darth Vader is Luke's father!!"
Star Wars is a lot more well-known than Wicked, sure, but on a BROADWAY FORUM.... I'd say that everyone would know a "twist" like Boq becoming the Tin Man.

Three days before I see 'August'. I'd register my disgust, but the board guidelines do request we don't swear. I do have a VERY low opinion of Logan now. 'Wicked' has been all over the globe for quite a while now. 'August' has only just made it to the UK. Thanks an effin' BUNCH. ¬_¬
poor Weez, but August has loads more twists so no worries there!
That was low, logan, but you I guess you made your point there. Wicked is very popular but we can't assume everyone has already watched it.
double post, my bad.
There is a stark difference between August: Osage County and Wicked, in terms of scope, time, and size.
And quality.
And for the record before I saw the show live, from just listening to the cast recording, I never noticed it was the actor playing Boq (Chris Fitzgerald? Can't remember) in "March of the Witch Hunters." And if I recall it isn't Boq in the novel that becomes the Tin Man.
My only sympathy for Weez is that they didn't have the self control not to read below a clear marking of “-------------**august: osage county spoiler**-------------.”
A:OC has run for over 400 performances on Broadway preceded by a 3-month run at Chicago's Steppenwolf Downstairs Theatre and is now preparing to open in London. As far as plays go, its buzz-worthiness is comparable to that of Wicked to musicals 5 years ago, even more so with its Tony victory.
But I guess because we're all so jaded about Wicked now we wouldn't sympathize with the 17 y.o from Iowa who never saw the touring production and waited 5 years for their first trip to New York City to do so who opened up the BWW forum and the first thing staring them in the face is a spoiler-warningless plot point at the top.
I don't fault the OP for their ignorance, but I do find fault in people attempting to say that one is out of line for saying it is irresponsible to stay as titled.
PiraguaGuy, I suddenly feel very inadequate. I only understand four of the references on that spoiler page.
That's a blessing in disguise. Very clever though "@$$h*le"
I got 11 of them. I didn't get:
Kristin shot J.R.
The Villagers Sacrifice The Policeman
Verbal is Keyser Soze
Dil is Actually a Man
The Killer's Mother is a Part of his Split Personality
Tyler Durden Isn't Real
Soylent Green is People
See, what I'm reading there is "BWAAA! BWAAA! SOMEONE TOOK AN OLD AND CWAPPY TOY THAT WASN'T EVEN IN GOOD NICK AND BWOKE IT A LITTLE MORE AND IT WASN'T EVEN MY TOY BUT I'M GOING TO WANDOMLY SELECT SOMEONE AND BWEAK THEIR SHINY NEW TOY!".
Well done. I hope your mother is very proud.

Kristin shot J.R. is the "Who shot J.R." arc of "Dallas"
The Villagers Sacrifice The Policeman is from "The Wicker Man"
Dil is Actually a Man is, I think, "The Crying Game"
The Killer's Mother is a Part of his Split Personality is "Psycho"
Tyler Durden Isn't Real is "Fight Club"
Soylent Green is People is, well, "Soylent Green"
The only one I don't know is "Verbal is Keyser Soze". Some help?
**EDIT** My boyfriend just told me "Verbal is Keyser Soze" is from "The Usual Suspects". Guys, we've been spoiled.
Oh I have seen Fight Club! Lol it's been too long though.
