Posted: 5/31/04 at 4:45pmi live in michigan so im guessing it is...its obviously not a very mainstream magazine so maybe it just depends on if a store chooses to order it or not...good luck!

Posted: 5/31/04 at 4:48pmI would check stores like Whole Foods or some place that.

Posted: 5/31/04 at 6:08pmI found it at Walmart, and since there are Walmarts everywhere (I belive) I would look at the nearest one to you.

HOORAY! Now all the old ladies will have something to read while on the potty.
What is a Guidepost? I always thought it was either an old lady magazine or a Christian-based publication.
Either way...I stay away from them.
Sorry...went off-topic. Woops!

Posted: 6/1/04 at 5:46pmGuideposts is a Christian based magazine. You could probably get it at a Christian bookstore.

Posted: 6/1/04 at 9:30pmMy great-grandmother subscribes my family to that magazine for her Christmas present to us every freakin year. But, for some odd reason, she stopped doing that this year...ironic how the one time something in it actually appeals to me is the moment I stop getting it.

Posted: 6/1/04 at 9:40pmGuideposts is indeed a Christian publication, intended to provide "stories of inspiration." She references her faith as a source of guidance in her life, and even manages to mention her Tony win (in all humility) three times in the article.

There is really no need at all to get all critical. I know it makes you sound important to put quotation marks around things you dont agree with, but the story is partially about her tony win. She is NOT full of herself nor is she self-depricating. She is very self aware. Its a very well written article. And im not just saying because i am in love with that woman. If she were egotistical, i would have no trouble saying so.
On that note, i found the magazine just as i was daydreaming about writing her the perfect fan letter (the one that she put in a pile of favorite letters and showed to her friends) and i glanced and saw her there. I first thought it was a fraudien slip because i had just been daydreaming about her, and started to walk away, but then did a double take, and came back, and there she was, in all her cuteness

Hmmm... how did Guidepost get access to Cheno? I wonder if she's very religious. And I wouldn't blame her for being egotistical or self aware. The woman's up for another Tony for Christ's sake!
MatthewAddison-- that's all the CHRISTIAN old ladies will now have something to read on the potty. :-P

Yeah- I saw those Guideposts magazines at my grandparent's beach house. It's funny how they don't want to read Christian material during the regular year- but during vacation they become 'poopular'.
Hmmm...
So...is Highlights a Christian publication too? I mean...why not RUIN my whole childhood. What about BOY'S LIFE. You gonna tell me that's put out by two old perverted men? I was a boy scout, by the way. :) I EARNED my badges. My daddy was the troupe leader- so I TOTALLY didn't do CRAP. I was so chubby when I was a kid. I ate cheetos all summer. I had to buy my jeans in the "Husky" section one time and I remember that was the worst day of my life.
Ah...what were we talking about?

ActionBoy (aka Paul--you found BWW!)--
Apparently Kristin is very religious. I'm reading Working on the Inside now, and she was interviewed for the book. I think she's Methodist.
Sidenote: At least you admit you're blasphemous! I can't believe you said I was last week. :P
Matthew Addison: I remember you from the Millie board! I was wannabemillie on there.
*Laura, who'll probably go back into obscurity after this post :)*

Hi WannabeMillie!
I remember you! I have an excellent memory.
Have any cheetos? I'm feeling depressed. Time to get fat.![]()
BACK TO WORK! (And I'm not quoting 'Millie'--I really got some stuff to do.)

Husky jeans... haha. I used to have the opposite problem... never could find jeans small enough. I hate when the ones I wear now get tattered at the bottoms and I trip myself up. The last time I was at a baseball game, I tripped down the stairs. That was embarrassing. At least the Yankees won, though. Baseball is a great thing, I can't get enough of the Yankees. Most girls think Derek Jeter's pretty hot; I suppose they're right. Speaking of attractive people, just saw a preview for "Raising Helen" with Kate Hudson. So gorgeous. I'm straight, by the way.
What's Broadway again? Who the hell is Kristin Chenoweth again?

Aaaah Matty (May I call you Matty?)--Don't leave! Haha, I'm going to get us sent to the off topic board. Don't even talk about getting fat! :P Anyway, yay for us, and btw, I love your quote from The IT Girl. I just got the cast recording about two weeks ago, and I'm really enjoying it!
All right, back to whatever this thread is about!

Yeah, its 4 AM. I need to leave for work in 12 hours. So now I'll go sleep for the next 11 hours. Life is tough.

Posted: 6/2/04 at 3:59amHe's subtle too! Welcome to the board, and very few straight guys on the board can resist temptation. I am one of the few survivors and the odds are against you. Just wait til Broadwayguy2 and phantom2 get done with you!

I used to be straight- but I turned myself gay. It's a habit.
Actually to set the record straight I am bi. haha- no really.
We are way off topic. We're gonna get in trouble.
And I never have the problem with my jeans tripping me. Mine are so tight that I have to unbutton them after I eat...or sit...or breath. And I have a large caboose...so it fills them out. Shh- I am really J.Lo
You're straight? hahahahaha- I'm sorry.![]()
WHY did I return to this board! CURSED BOARD! I must work!
Wannabe- I will be back- I'm sure.

boborunstheshow -
I put the phrase in quotes because that's what it says on the cover - and I wanted to indicate it was someone's idea of their content other than mine.
I'm sorry if you found my thoughts to be overly critical, but the impression I came away with after reading the article was one of subtle self-agrandizement. At least I formed my opinion after actually reading the article.

Hey, if Kristin gets her groove on being Christian, I say good for her.
I'd take her brand of Christianity over John Ashcroft's any day of the week.
