new RENT trailer on NBC

dont know if this has been posted, but i just saw a newer RENT trailer on NBC...........
-it starts off playing Seasons.
-Mark says soemthing like "there are times when were dirt broke, hungry and freezing...*phone rings* and then (mom: hi, its us!) they call!" (roger laughs)
-voiceover guy says "in one extraordinary year, 8 strangers meet and become a family"
-then theres clips weve seen before, but the voiceover says "the passion" "the music", etc...
-then it shows the first part of mimis eulogy "I knew we'd hit it off from the moment we met"

that was SO great! the newer footage was just as amazing!!
i heard "there are times.." and thought "ooh, RENT!" then i heard "then...they call" and i flew up and ran to my TV. haha, im such a loser.

Not to nitpick, but it's not like all 8 of them were strangers at the beginning of the movie/show.

Tiff, i had a bit of an issue with that, too. but i guess its easier than saying "3 friends, an ex friend and and ex lover meet 3 new people and become a family"

aw, that one is cute.

What I don't get, though, is that they're not ALL strangers when the story begins. Some of them have known each other for years, presumably. I know it sounds catchy and all, but it bugs me. Ah, well.

I ran into my room and caught the last few minutes. Then I realized that I had TiVo, and was able to watch the whole thing! Yay! But anyway, very good trailer, I liked the beginning with Mark's mom.

That's what bothers me about this trailer. They aren't strangers when the story begins. Other than that, it's beautiful.

I see this one on Vh1 ALL the time, so tune in and you should catch it before too long! I saw it dueing every. commercial. break. the other night lol it was awesome

i think they just say "strangers" b/c they didnt all know each other. i mean maybe one of them knew somebody and that introduced them to the rest of them (ex: joanne.) am i making sense? its not that they were all living in isolation and just suddenly meet, its more that mark and angel were strangers, mimi and joanna were strangers, joanne and roger were strangers, and by the end they are all best friends. hope that made sense, i know what im talking about, i just cant explain it!

Yes, VH1 ran the trailer a lot this past weekend. I know I saw it on another cable channel also. I had been hoping to see it. Now I think I have seen it about 50 times! Just can't wait to see it! There is a sneak preview in Denver on the 21st. Passes will be available on the 19th. Figures, I return from New York on the evening of the 19th. I am certain the passes will be gone.
