I just saw a TV commercial during ellen focusing on the Pulitzer win saying "It is the only Pulitzer Prize winner you can see today!". Also they started a rigorous online add campaign on playbill.

For those who thought NEXT TO NORMAL wouldn't have a life outside Broadway, well it's now playing in 4 cities, 9 different countries and has been translated into 6 languages.

I've only caught the commercial once, but I believe they do specify "on Broadway" in regards to the Pulitzer thing.

I'm praying it doesn't close in the near future. I really enjoy this show.

The ad refers to musicals specifically.

Is this a new ad? Is it on youtube... I have not seen it. If so, link?

I just find it strange the show has STILL not announced a closing date. They sent out those fliers and the grosses are staying pretty low. I just don't get what they're waiting for.

Yeah one would think that if they bite the bullet and announce a closing date, they would create a demand for tickets and make some decent money for the rest of the run. It may also create more buzz for the tour if people realize the Broadway production is closing.

Why won't they just make an offical announcement? I really don't want N2N to close because I want to go to NYC to see N2N and Memphis since I haven't seen those two shows yet.
I just checked Broadway.com and tickets are on sale through January 16, so that's the day it could close? Hope not. Updated On: 10/3/10 at 06:56 PM

That's the word on the street, but it will really depend on ticket sales. They could close in two weeks.

Xanadu announced a closing date, and I grabbed a few stage seats for me and my kids. A week later, they moved closing a few weeks. To the week BEFORE we were going to go.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Well it is because I think a lot of critics would think this would win a tony for best musical but billy which opened before got great reviews and a tony and it ends their and is very wonderful and excellent and contagious I want to see it again but I live in Australia. I have seen it twice.
