Did you check cheaptickets.com?
This will probably be moved to the off-topic board.

I doubt you're going to find anything "reasonable" 3 days before hand.

I recently did a search for flying from RDU airport to an airport in NYC. I'm also from NC.

Fly out on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. It LITERALLY brings the price down hundreds per ticket. Try to never fly on weekends.

I found a ticket from RDU to NYC for $215.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Sve the money...DRIVE.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

We're 16....our parents wont let us drive to NY...it's like a 12 hours drive from here. I'm sorry I should have posted this on the off topic board. I wasnt thinking. Im just in a frenzy. The four of us saw it together like 2 months ago and LOVED it. We each match one of the sisters. We even made little women bracelets today for each of us with the specific color for each character. lol. There has to be some cheaper tickets somewhere!

Is there a train that goes to NY? I often take the Amtrak from Virginia when I'm coming back from school. I'm not sure if they go that far down south, but it's worth looking into.

Try Southwest Airlines http://www.southwest.com
They fly from Raleigh to either Long Island/Islip or Philadelphia.
Round-trip will cost you $220.
Then you'll have to factor in transportation from the airport into NYC.

info for going into NYC from Long Island/Islip aka MacArthur Airport

if you fly into Philadelphia,
you can take SEPTA to connect with NJ Transit or
SEPTA to connect with Greyhound

good luck!!!

12 hours is not that far.

But...if your parents won't let you drive, they'll let you go to NYC alone?

Try Greyhound or Amtrak. They're not as quick, but they're cheaper and put you right in Manhattan instead of way out there.

Amtrak isn't that cheap $88 one-way from Raleigh to NYC, but you'll have to spend 10 hours on the train.

With Greyhound, you'll be spending 12-13 hours on the bus with a fare of about $84 one-way.

if I were you, I'd fly Southwest.

Maybe try a travel agency? They have access to all the airlines and can look for the lowest fare for you.
