It finally came to me today, that striped shirt looked like one of those fruity flavored candy canes no one likes at Christmas. I totally need one now.

Attached is a link I know you will enjoy!

HAHA, you're so right! So, um, I may or may not have just added a whole bunch of Justin's movies to my Netflix queue. I am in full admission of my loser status.

Thank you for that link!! It made my day much better. re: Eugene (also) at 'The Understudy'

Teachout seems to have liked it, with a few minor reservations. I pretty much agree with him about Teresa Rebeck, though how Justin Kirk is "new" to him is a little bit baffling, as I'd hope such a high-up drama critic would be familiar with the Angels in America film, but I digress.

He hints at a possible move, but it's totally speculative. I would love that, although Justin would probably not be able to stay very long because of Weeds.

Or "Love! Valour! Compassion!," even I remember that as an elementary school kid in the city. Not that I saw it, even though I remember wanting to since it starred Timon from "The Lion King" and had guys in tutus. My parents took me to "Sunset Boulevard" instead. I saw "Showboat" with my school. What I would give to go back to the '94 - '95 season and see "Arcadia," but I digress!

What have you viewed through Netflix so far, I need recommendations, thanks :)

Of Justin's movies? Only Angels in America, I haven't actually seen any of the ones I've just added yet. I put them at the top, though, so I will be able to tell you more hopefully next week!

The AP and the Hollywood reporter are pretty blah, boo on them:

Variety mostly liked it, in spite of its shortcomings:

Times, more of the same funny-but-flawed assessment:

Even if they're all a little mixed, reading these reviews makes me want to see it again!

And this picture makes my day.

Right, click, save.

Good for them, and good for MPG for garnering some nice notices for his stage debut. I'm going again next week with a friend and her boss, who is chaperoning. There's something about a taser being involved? I believe my reputation proceeds me.

I was fortunate enough to attend opening night tonight and I loved it! The play is not profound in any way, but the actors make it so worth it. I can't choose my favorite of the three because all were so wonderful and hilarious. I can't even choose a favorite part because there were so many great moments. Now I need to go watch that broadway.com video to watch the clips again, especially the "GET IN THE TRUCK!" haha

Other comments have pretty much already described my thoughts exactly, so I won't keep repeating the same things or else I'd go on and on. I'd recommend this to everyone and anyone. I agree that it's such an enjoyable night of theater.

I also got to go to the after party, but could only stay for less than an hour. Justin Kirk was just walking in as I was leaving. Reviews

I went to opening night. It was so bizarre because I just wanted to get a picture with Mark-Paul and Justin Kirk as they were walking in, and I was supposed to go see Vigil afterwards. Lo and behold it's opening night and someone HANDS ME THEIR TICKETS! Got a picture with Hunter Parrish (I kept saying Hunter Foster, is there someone named Hunter Foster?) and Laura Harris (girl from The Faculty), watched the play, and then got pictures with the entire cast. Everyone was awesome. The play isn't great but it wasn't painful to sit through. Justin Kirk is the strong point.

Coolest cast, here are my pictures with all three.

bjh, you are not alone! One of my friends saw it last week, she knew I had really liked it (so did she), and afterward she texted me, "GET IN THE TRUUUCK!"

boonanas, I love your pictures! Hunter Parrish is so adorable. (And yes, Hunter Foster is Sutton Foster's brother. He's in Ordinary Days, which is playing in the same building as The Understudy.)

Omg must go again.

Look at them being all swanky in their opening night suits! Thanks for sharing boonanas, I'm going to go and die of jealousy now. PS - the photo descriptions in your album are hilarious.

Count me in as another person who texts or shouts "GET IN THE TRUUUUUUCK," randomly for a laugh.

I'm so happy for them extending! Now I really don't have an excuse for not seeing this again. Can anyone tell me how to get the cheapest tickets? Is the hiptix and rush policy the same as Roundabout's (on)Broadway shows?

They start selling rush at noon... it's $21.50. Hiptix works the same way it does for all other Roundabout shows.

I might be going this weekend, and am definitely going the following weekend. Hehe.

Alright, just started to recover from seeing my other favorite TV uncle, John Stamos, and getting an unexpected hug from him tonight. This child of the 80's almost self-imploded on the spot.

Looks like someone is trying to break my current record of seeing "The Understudy" three times, luvtheEmcee! Saw it again earlier this week, interesting to see the tweaks here and there compared to the previous two viewings. Like I noted earlier, I don't normally "stage door" unless it's for special people like MPG, who indeed is so nice and friendly as everyone has stated previously.

I have to say, Justin is THE SH!T. No seriously, that's the only way to describe his awesomeness. Since I am shameless, you can all imagine the depths of depravity of said encounter ... Reviews
