What other companion books are there around?
The Grimmerie is excellent as is the Ave Q book. Hyperion seems to be doing an excellent job. I think that a companion book is a great thing for a show to have. Does anyone know of any others either in circulation or upcoming...?

LES MIZ, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, MISS SAIGON, CATS, AIDA, ASPECTS OF LOVE, THE PRODUCERS, LION KING, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, TITANIC, TOMMY, HAIRSPRAY, MAMMA MIA!, A CHORUS LINE (there are a couple), COLOR PURPLE, and SUNSET BLVD all have books out... And I have them
INTO THE WOODS has an incredible illustrated "storybook" that I got for easter as child. And of course THE GRIMMERIE for WICKED *big grin*

Thanks for this post. I've been thinking about this for a while...
other recent books are Mamma Mia! and The Color Purple.
Older books in my collection include:
Les Miserables
Phantom of the Opera
Miss Saigon
Beauty & The Beast
Cabaret
Chicago
Titanic
Aida
Into the Woods (storybook)
Lion King
Cats
Wicked
Rent
A Chorus Line
The Producers
Hairspray
I know Evita had a companion book too but it's been long out of print (it was blue and included an illustration of the planned memorial for Eva before her body disappeared). Any other books people know of?

Posted: 11/14/06 at 2:08pmThe Mary Poppins Book was due June 2005. They keep on pushing back the publication date, so dont count on it being released any time in the future. I found that there is to be a Tarzan book. THey should really do one for Spamalot though.
