Kevin Cahoon and Tina Maddigan are still the sweetest people.
Constantine Maroulis was a jerk.

The History Boys were great. Hot as hell, and hugging fans all over the place. :) Frances de la Tour was out of there before most people realized she had left the stage door, and Richard Griffiths was a little abrupt, but that doesn't change the fact that his performance was wonderful.
Meeting Ralph Fiennes was just such an incredible experience. Very quiet, but so gracious too. Cherry Jones- there are no words. Even though we had been told not to ask for pictures of the actors, she saw my camera and offered to take a picture with me. I wandered over to the stage door the next night after seeing Phantom and I asked her about how she managed to learn her insane part for Faith Healer, and we wound up talking (more of me nodding my head incessantly, unable to believe that Cherry Jones was talking with little ol' me) for around 10 minutes. Ian McDiarmid was also pretty quiet, but he just laughed it off when my flash accidentally went off in his eyes.
The cast of Sweeney Todd was fantastic, but Judy Kaye, as amazingly talented as she was, was pretty exasperated... It was a little disappointing, but whatever. Michael Cerveris and Mano more than made up for it. :)
Tony Danza is the biggest jerk on Broadway currently, IMO.

My mom waited outside the stage door for the Merm.
She politely asked for her autograph, and Merm push past her in her furs, almost knocked her down and yelled behind her (without looking back to see if my mom was alright)
'Drop me a line and I'll send you a card'
The cast of Spring Awakening is the best!

I actually thought Tony Danza was very nice.
Thats hilarious Fenchurch, gotta love the merm
One of the best was Chita Rivera at the dancer's life just because she was just so nice and when she saw me and could tell i was excited and nervous she was like don't you cry haha and hugged me...
Well I had 2 very good stagedoor experiences:
1.) This one just happened recently, just this past saturday actually when I stagedoored Jersey Boys...they were all very nice as always, but J. Robert Spencer was just very kind. I mean going back to the fact that they do not have to stay and wait and be nice to the people after the show because no where in the contract of theirs does it say any of that. Well I politely asked Bobby for a picture and then as my mom went to take it of us the camera died and the picture didn't happen before that. I wasn't very happy that it didn't come out, but I wasn't about to ask him to wait for me to change the camera's battery because I did have another one with me. As nice as he always is, he kindly said that he did not mind staying and waiting for me to change the battery. He said just to let him know when it was good to go and he would gladly retake it with me. It meant a lot to me that he did that because for one it was after the matinee and he was probably on his way out to eat before the night show and they really are not obligated to take these stagedoor pictures. So needless to say, I ended up getting my picture with him after all.
2.) The other stagedoor experience that i had that really stuck out to me was at Rent. I knew the one of the ensemble actors through my uncle because my uncle worked on a film with him. So I was always dying to go up to him and ask him if he remembered my uncle. One day I happened to be passing by from another show and saw him. He was talking to people so I just stood to the side so I would not be a bother. After he finished his conversation with the people, I casually walked up to him and took up a conversation. He was very nice, gave me a hug, talked to me for about roughly 20 minutes, and did in fact remember my uncle. I also did take a picture with him at the end and it is probably my favorite stagedoor picture ever. Besides all of that, he always remembers me now whenever I happen to see him, which was actually a couple of times after that day. Not by name of course, but he always seems to remember who I am and bring up that conversation and my uncle.

O one more, so I went to see the Pirate Queen and was dying to meet Stephaine J. Block. Anyway after the show she came out and was very nice I asked her about a picture and she said of course so we took it and then I got my camera back and realized that my friend accidently took a video, so I wanted till she was basically done told her what happened and she was supper nice and said she never could figure out how to work her camera and she was just excited ppl knew who she was. I told her how I was a vocal performance major and how much I loved her in Wicked and that night. And she was like you are the sweetest thing....she was just so amazing
Sweeney was great. The stagedoor woman was so funny, and was ridiculing all the girls who were swooming over Usher.
The whole cast of Company was really great. I saw the show yesterday and everyone was so friendly & chatty, especially Raul Esparza & Robert Cunningham.
I haven't had any bad stage door experiences with regards to the actors, just some freaky fans at times (Lestat & The Iceman Cometh come to mind.) I don't always stage door, only if I really enjoyed an actors performance and actually want to comment to them about it. I'm not much into the autograph thing.

Actually, I don';t find it funny, and I don't love the Merm.
She's no better than anyone else, and for her to treat anyone that way totally loses any respect I had for her in the past, which wasn't much to begin with, actually.

I took my little siter and my cuzin to go see tarzan and the cast was so nice.
Josh was great he was so nice and talked to them and took pitchures and also Jen gambatese was EXTREMLEY nice. My sister got one of those souvenier program things and wanted Jen to sign the pitchure of her and hse couldn't find it than Jen helped her find it and hugged her and signed it. Shuler didn't come out and Merle was really, really tired but gretted everyone and was so nice
Gavin lee, ashley brown, and rebecca lcuker are some of the nicest people you will ever meet
But when i saw the into the woods revival, i went out to meet Vanessa williams. SHE WAS SO NICE! She took many pictures with me and signed my into the woods t-shirt and booklet. I promised that if she came back to broadway again, i said i will be there opening night. she said i give you a call! don't no if i will get a response but....To this day i still watch and listen everything Vanessa Williams including Ugly Betty { one of the best on t.v}
Oh come on. I'd much rather have that story than the Merm's autograph. That's hysterical.
John Lloyd Young and Jonathan Groff are always the best people to talk to. Very friendly people.
Best
Jeremy Irons. So generous, he totally blew me away. There were at least 15 people waiting for him, but he took his time to talk, sign and pose for everyone who asked for a photo.
Gavin Creel. You all know why. The sweetest guy on earth.
Worst
Kevin Spacey. Okay, he's a Hollywood film star, but surely he could be not so indifferent to everyone?

Best stagedoor experience so far? Spring Awakening. The ENTIRE cast is like utterly and ridiculously wonderful!! Jonathan Groff, John Gallagher, and Phoebe Strole were some of the standouts, but honestly every single one of them was awesome. And not just your normal awesome- they go out of their way to make conversation with EVERYONE!
The Wedding Singer cast is also incredibly sweet- especially Felicia, omg, she is one of the coolest most fun people EVER
I actually havn't really had any BAD stagedoor experiences... I guess Constantine Maroulis was a little on the indifferent side, but he wasn't really RUDE or anything. Just kind of... eh. (Amy Spanger was also on the more quite side, but I DEF dont think she seems rude at all, she seems super sweet she just seems shy! But she's sooo cute she's all like "thanks guysss!")
Don't I remember some talk about Betty Buckley flying into a rage if she caught anyone watching her performance from the wings during SUNSET BLVD?
Best:
~The cast of Tarzan. They were all really sweet, and great to my little brother.
~Raul Esparza (Company). Just an all-around sweet guy.
~The cast of The Wedding Singer. Awesome people, and fun to chat with.
Worst:
~Constantine Maroulis. He was pretty rude.
~Huey Lewis. He wasn't mean or anything, but he seemed a little miffed with all of the people there who wanted to see him.
I was accused of going to sell things on ebay. I was at The Apple Tree stagedoor and I had Brian D'Arcy James sign my Titanic CD insert and then I politly asked him if he could sign my playbill as well, and then the SD manager went "humph. Watch that stuff end up on ebay tomorrow." Honestly, the people who are going to sell things are 60 year old men who bring 20 of the same playbills/pictures to be signed. Not 15 year old girls who bring two things, because they are an admirer of ones work.

OH that reminds me- meeting Raul after Chitty was amazing he's SO sweet and soooo great to talk to!
I agree with the Spring Awakening cast being the nicest. All of them are willing to spend time with everyone and talk to all who are there. The Drowsy Chaperone cast is also very nice.
