*nods again just because she needs the extra affirmation*

If I knew how, I'd post a photo reminder... but then I'd be all-too responsible for a threadjack.

Ummm I won the lottery yesterday and all I could think of the whole time was this thread!! I was front row...Jeremy and his tight plaid pants...you do the math :)
I enjoyed the seats very muchly as did my best friend...lol
And the guitar pic Jeremy chucks in anger at the beginning (Glory? perhaps?) hit the speaker and foot lights , bounced up, and landed right on the stage ledge in front of me...so it's now mine...which would be the only stage item from a show I own..lol

Thanks to you all for making the show even more enjoyable bc I couldnt get this thread out of my mind...all that talk about those plaid pants...

Only downer...Jeremy and Drew didnt come out after the show...
I have met them before..but my friend wanted to meet them...

ha! I love that this thread is back... and that its name has changed.

YAY guitar pick! and... YAY plaid pants!

I'm clearly in a very mature mood today.

Oh, and... since someone asked, I was going to try to post that "photo reminder" I wanted to the other day... but I can't get it to work. re: rent lottery lately?

I HAD to change the name and bring it back after sitting front row yesterday....since the thread has taken an entirely different course than the original topic..lol Not that I mind at all!

Emcee- Can you PM me a link to the photographic evidence? lol

I had joked with my friend when we first sat down that I wanted the guitar pick (ive gotten quite a few from concerts in the last few yrs) and joked that when Jeremy threw it..could he just toss it into the front row...and when it came flying in our direction during the show..we both cracked up.

for the record...Roger was VERY angry yesterday...and Jeremy facial expressions were the best Id seen them...other things in the show (like the Joanne understudy mainly were ehhh) but great show even though the crowd didnt feel it much and Drew is getting better and better...
and Destan Owen's "Ill cover you-reprise" never fails to make me cry. I dont think my best friend stopped crying from that moment til Mimi said "and Angel looked good!"

To answer my own question and for inquiring minds-the lottery wasnt that bad...only a few couples got turned away and most bought tickets. Sunday evening lotto was starting shortly after we came out and it was DEAD.

Jeremy plays an incredibly angry Roger. I was telling aspiringguy about it one day, and I told him I liked my Rogers angry. His response: "it's like a drink!" AG, I love you!!
Anyway, yeah. Adam played a really quiet but damaged Roger. Like, you could see the vulnerability and the pain he was going through, but he wasn't open about it. He kept everything bottled up inside, and you could see that he was going to errupt any minute.... but because of that, a lot of him on the surface was almost emotionally blank. That was always the Roger that I fell hardest for, but I love Jeremy's forward anger, too. He's very talented.

Never saw Adam in the role...havent seen Adam period in any role...it never worked out for me to catch Aida...and I saw Caberet with Neil Patrick Harris before Adam was the Emcee...
I NEED to catch Adam in something one of these days!

I kindof like the pissed off explosive Roger that Jeremy does...I enjoy Jeremy onstage and I agree. He's got talent.
but yesterday (of the 3 times Ive caught Jeremy in the show) he was the most pissed Ive ever seen him...I thought he was going to deck Drew when he was dragging him around by his coat...lol
And that table slam...damn..

off to lunch..and then back to work at the office...lol

*ahem*
Yes. You do. re: rent lottery lately?
I suppose the RENT movie can help with that, though. *ponders*
Ah, well, I won't rant about that. I will do a quick plug for Adam's upcoming appearance, though - 12/29, The Knitting Factory, NYC. $20. Check his website. Not a musical (that may not happen for a while, honestly) but it's worth it to see him rockin' out as himself, if you can.

I saw Jeremy once, but he almost threw that table several times. Sitting only a few feet from him, I was just a tad frightened.
I thought he was going to deck Drew when he was dragging him around by his coat...lol
Eh, Drew's kind of wimpy-looking next to Jeremy anyway, even when they aren't in character. Not a fan.

Yay, this thread is back!

You know you're a RENThead when you see the show, and think about a message board thread re: rent lottery lately?

I need to win lotto again, just so I can stare.

*chokes on water* ......I'm just gonna leave that comment alone lol.
Jeremy confirmed the other day at the rent workshop ( go to the cb board to see) that his final day is the 16th!
I can;t wait to be there on the 16th!.....I hope I win lotto.....

The theatre is one of the most expressive and useful instruments for the edification of a country; it is also the barometer which makes its greatness or its descent. A theatre which is sensitive and well oriented in all its branches from tragedy to vaudeville can in a few years change the sensibilty of the people; theatre which has been destroyed, in which cloven hooves take the place of wings, can put to sleep an entire nation. A people that does not aid and encourage its theatre is moribund if not dead; the theatre which does not gather to itself the best of society, of history, the drama of its people and the genuine color of its landscape and its spirit, with laughter or tears, does not deserve to call itself theatre, but rather a place for that horrible thing which is called killing time.- Federico Garcia Lorca

I LOVE that BWW has such influence over our thoughts. Every time I go to a show, I sit there thinking about what I'm going to write in my BWW 'review.' It's sad, really.

yup its funny that I was sitting there going...hmmm...I need to ressurect the thread that I started that turned into the "lotto patrons stare at Jeremy's crotch and butt in plaid pants" thread.

I wish I got to talk to Jeremy for a 2nd time after the show...but he didnt come out on Sunday...hopefully Ill see the show one more time before he's done.

Hopefully I'll be seeing those tight pants just as close when I'm there in [a little less than] a month. A week before his last is good, right? I'm so sad that he's leaving - dammit!

And I haven't seen Maggie's moon... legally, anyway. *cough*

So, how BOUT those pants?

OhSoWicked: Those pants were GREAT....although I kept staring at his cute butt. :X lol. It's really bad when I'm watching the show and I'm like hmm Jeremys voice is so pretty...and his ass is too!

I nearly choked myself reading this thread. I don't know how I missed it. Normally, I have a radar for this stuff. Teehee. Yeah, I must say I'm a fan of staring at his ass, but only when he first walks out on stage. He looks damn good in those pants. Oh God, I really hope I don't think of this next time I see the show. That would be distracting, to say the least. Adam is quite the nice image too. Oh Adam. Yay for Roger/Radames guys! This thread makes me happy.

So right. Kelly gives the full moon. Maggie used to as well. On one of her lasts, I heard she had her ass hanging out and was mooning people left and right in La Vie Boheme. It happens more often than you think - having a Maureen pull her pants down a little too far. The more conservative Maureens wore thongs (and a bra in TMOLM). Maggie was not conservative at all. Haha.

You've been diagnosed with Chronic Stare At Adam? That's a tough one because . . . yeah, 'cuz it's Adam. I've only seen him as Radames but I nearly fell over when he walked on stage because I had waited so long to see him in something. And then the whole "You don't want me to remove your shackles? They'll only get in the way . . . Do you know what's going to happen now? (pause) You're going to scrub the filth of battle from my skin. It's been a long time since I've felt clean." Apparently, he likes causing death by flailing. Chronic Stare at Adam is not rare, so you're not alone. Trust me =)

Yes. Diagnosed long, loooooooong ago. And it's strange, because... well, it just gets worse! Not that I *want* to get rid of this one. re: rent lottery lately?
That's a man that can cause death by simply entering a room. Not one event goes by when he does not absolutely take my breath away. And the longer I have to go without seeing him, the sweeter that first moment is.

Adam, we miss you! re: rent lottery lately?

i have to say that one of my favorite places to see rent is the VERY last row of the balcony on a random week day. I love just sitting there all alone or with some really good friends. It really is magical.
