something other than Wedding Singer
how 'bout Chicago...i've never really liked it, and it is a revival that's last 10 years now...
Tarzan
Times they are a changin'
Spelling Bee (it was 'ok' with the OBC, now its bleck IMO)
Lestat (Althought it continues to sell out every performance)

Not Times.

Is it just a figment of your imagination? A jukebox, as a music-player, will continue to exist without your belief.
although I do like RENT a lot, I think it's seen it's day and is time to close. You can all kill me now...
I was disappointed that Jersey Boys won the Tony, but I want to see JLY (who is very hott in my opinion) before he goes. So yeah. :)
Lestat closed?!?!
What the hell?
It was amazing.
Blahh..let's not wish ill will on any shows.
I have some that aren't my favorites, or I don't care for, but I don't wish unemployment for actors and those who are employed by a show.
Phantom of the Opera- Awful. Awful. Awful.
Rent- Past its prime.
Chicago should not close. It's has better writing than half the crap on Broadway now. Just because the casting lately has sucked doesn't mean it deserves to close. Phantom and Rent have been poorly written since day one.

Harsh.

Mamma Mia, it has definitely been way too long that that train wreck has gone on.
Actually now that I think about, I agree with you ashbash, all jukebox musicals need to close. What happened to original scores?
Shows that are losing money should close.
Shows that are not losing money should stay open.
This is not rocket science.

This is like starting a thread
Shows that you hate so much that you wish everyone involved with it should lose thier jobs.
That said...Mamma Mia

Always with the "but people will lose their jobs" argument. There is a show ready to take it's place in a short time that will employ new actors and new stagehands. And if an actor/actress is that good, they will likely recover and make it into an existing show as a replacement or a new show altogether as a lead. Maybe even win a Tony!
BEAUTY & THE BEAST - bring in LITTLE MERMAID and get rid of this rusty piece.
CHICAGO - the time was then. No longer has a place on Broadway.
TARZAN - trash has no place on Broadway except on the actual street.
THE PRODUCERS - this show is just NOT funny anymore. It's very tiresome.
RENT - good show, but very tired. No longer fresh. It's time...
THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGIN' - 'nuff said...

Close all juke box musicals, all shows based on films, all shows with game show contestants and there won't be anything left on Broadway!

poto show coles because it has been on broadway too long.

There is no such thing as being on broadway too long.
if all the unoriginal shows closed, they would make room for newer, better, and original shows... I mean, should like legally blond stay on b'way?
