hello all!

i am planning on seeing mary poppins for my birthday on the 18th of august. i have the opportunity to sit in the 2nd row of orch. this may sound a little silly, but are these seats really that great to watch the show from? is it too close, am i going to be straining my neck all night to see the performance? just thought someone might have a little input.

thanks!

I sat in Row C last December. I did not strain my neck in any way. It was fun to see everyone so close. However, it is a "big" show and some of the numbers, "Step In Time" for example, have a lot going on. Perhaps a little further back will allow you to "take it all in"? If that's the best you can do without going back to Row U then I say go for it.

I sat in Row D in July and I loved it! You get to see all of the facial expressions, and the stage is not that high at all. It's wonderful! Take the seats (it's better than Row U).

Harm: you'll see everything, but it feels far. Not bad for $25 though.

How to properly use its/it's: Its is the possessive. It's is the contraction for it is...

First time I saw the show I sat in the 5th row mezz. Second time I was in the second row mezz. Those are perfect seats for the show. You can really see everything.

You can see everything fine in the balcony, it is just very far.

Row Q shouldn't be too bad. The overhang is only one row ahead, so it shouldn't block too much of the top of the stage if any at all.

Row U you'd definitely miss the upsidedown tapdancing other than by shadow.

Row B in the center orchestra is the first row... I sat there last week. (I thought it was the 2nd row, but when I got there I was surprised!)

Yes, Row B is the front row. I was in Row D (third row) and it was fine. From what I remember (I saw it at the beginning of July) this stage isn't that high.
