does any one know if it is going to be the musical version?
It's actually being done with hand puppets, in Japanese.
Sorry, sir... but did you even bother to do a search anywhere?
I don't know, why don't you perform a search then make a post here to let us all know!
::rolls eyes::

Uh, b12b, you are so wrong. Frankly, I expect more from you.
Only Johanna is going to be singing in Japanese, you silly man
Every character will be singing in a different language in order for the film to appeal internationally.
No, its going to be the other version. You know, the non-musical one.
Patronus---A brilliant concept! And instead of hand puppets, just use the dolls from "It's a Small World."
"Walt Disney Presents the International Adventures of Teeny Todd!"
Starring the vocal talents of Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen, Farrah Fawcett-Majors, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Chiang Kai-chek, John Wilkes Booth and Keshia Knight Pulliam.
Coming to an asylum near YOU.
"It's a world of murder a world of fear,
It's a world of pies and a world of beer.
There's so much that we dread...
It's okay, we're all dead,
In this teeny Sweeney world."
Everybody sing!!!
I like it!
Instead of movie theatre seats, do you think we could use the little boats from the ride?
Apparently Italian/Irish Pirelli is just sooooo last century, so they've gone for Khazakstani this time. He'll be a dear little marionette with a frightening moustache, I believe.

Wouldnt that require TALENT on their end of the deal?
I didn't know Hillary Rodham Clinton could sing.
She has three names. That's what counts here.

Um...there certainly is a non-musical version of Sweeney Todd, it has even been made into a movie. They were selling it for 3.99 in my Target just before Halloween.
So, your "No, it's the other one, the non-musical version" comments aren't sarcastic, they're just incorrect. :)
For the OP, it's the musical version.
Someone with obviously little theater knowledge is expressing interest and asking questions. Why does everyone have to be rude?

yes its the "musical version" (the quotes being for the lack of songs that will actually make it into the movie)

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But seriously guys, mean much.
There's so much that we dread
It's ok, we're all dead!
OMG!
The film will, of course, star the wonderful Swedish Chef as the Demin Barber - Swedish Serial Killer AND singing pies? Can you really go wrong?

I'd love to laugh at your jokes, but with the way casting is going so far I'm too afraid of them coming true...

The movie will also feature a 5 minute prolouge where Johnny Depp- In full Disney pirate makeup- explains to the pre-teen girls in the theater-who wet their Corpse Bride bedsheets in excitment of the movie- what a musical is and why people will be singing.
