NO WAY! I am going to try to make it to this. I'm seeing the Atrainplays benefit that night so I'll be cutting it close, but I don't want to pass this up.

According to the [tos] blog, the time of the signing has been changed to 5:00pm. It was originally scheduled (according to the BWW article) for 6:00pm. So note that--and don't be late folks!

Hi [tos]sers! Just a note that the cd signing will actually start at 6:00 at the Tower Records at Lincoln Center.

I was there tonight with a bunch of other BWWers, and the [tos] guys/gals were adorable and amazing as ever. They performed about 5 songs, and Hunter had lots of sweet, funny and endearing words to say about what the show and the whole process has meant to him.

Afterward, Jeff, Hunter, Heidi, Susan, and Larry all signed CDs and were sweet as all heck! Barrett Foa and Christopher J. Hanke were there in the audience as well. Amazing night, and if you haven't seen this show yet, catch it soon. These guys are just wonderful!

Ben Strothmann of BWW was there and took a lot of photos. So expect to see those posted probably tomorrow.

Their set was about 45 minutes, and they talked a bit in between songs.

They sang:

1. Untitled Opening Number
2. Two Nobodies In New York
3. What Kind of Girl Is She?
4. A Way Back To Then (Heidi kicked it out of the park, as usual. That song is so gorgeous.)
5. Nine People's Favorite Thing

(Oh, and since there was a bit of a misunderstanding as to whether they were starting at 5 or 6, about 10 people showed up at 5, so they rehearsed a bit and then Heidi and Susan sat and chatted with us. )

I had a real [tos] day yesterday - the CD signing and the 8:00 show (fourth time....my first re-visit since the re-opening).

I liked it a lot before, but now I love love love it. It's tighter, funnier and sharper and instead of kinda noodling off in the last 15 minutes, now morphs into a powerful and moving rumination on the entire creative process. It's not JUST for musical theatre geeks. I went with a friend who was REALLY blown away and broke down over dinner...it can be VERY affecting if you are in the biz.

And I've been playing the CD non-stop.

That picture with Barrett Foa in the background holding up an Avenue Q cd and a Spelling Bee cd cracks me up.

Great photos. Those two fans on the right in the third photo look really happy to be there.
