Alternate Lyrics? Additions of certain people (like John Gallagher Jr in Totally F*CKed...), different arrangements? The choreography for Jonathan Groff during Bitch of Living?
WHAT DID YOU THINK?

Pretty dreadful. That whole hand thing was corny and I did not find it very ingenious as some have said it was. Just looked like a mess that sounded nice for the first half. The second half came down to the thought of "WHY?"
And I'm sorry, but the censoring with the covering of the mouths was not cute, it was just lame, corny, and stupid. I found the entire performance extremely irritating.
Well I liked it...I liked it alot! I found the censoring a little childish, but I was geniunely entertained.
Seems like that might be the minority's opinion, but someone's gotta speak up for the little guy, right?

From the perspective of what relation it has to the actual piece? Preposterous.
As concerns what people will discover as they investigate what is actually there? Priceless.
You seem to think that everyone who watched would have a clue what to compare it to. Wrong. There are those who saw that, realized that things had been altered for censor purposes, and will then go find out what the content REALLY is - and another ticket will be sold.
I thought their choice was brilliant - from a business standpoint.
I enjoyed watching Groff dancing and sing like the rest of the guys in Bitch of Living...
Similarly, I thought it was awesome to see John Gallagher Jr dance during Totally F*cked, since he normally isnt there...
I loved the modulation at the end of MWBM (Reprise)...neat segue.

I love Spring Awakening, but I found the changes in lyrics in Bitch of Living ridiculous. I did like seeing the entire cast performing though rather than sitting in the chairs.
Brilliant marketing, but I was laughing the entire time. One of those "you have got to be kidding me" moments.
Ridiculous. I agree about the "covering the mouth" thing. It looked cheesy.

I found that after I watched it it, I had to take a moment to comprehend what I had seen. There was so much going on. I liked it though. Totalally F***** is one of their best songs. In my opinion, how could they not do some of it? Did John Gallagher run out of breath or something in the Bitch of Living?
I thought it was absolutely ridiculous.
JG seemed to start out a little late and then rushed to catch up. I thought he had flubbed a lyric too, but then I saw they completely destroyed BOL's lyrics intentionally.
Those who have no idea what Spring Awakening is would have had no idea there was anything different going on.
And based on that performance, I doubt those people are going to run out and buy tickets to see it anyway.
Wisely planned, cleverly constructed, and tightly executed.

I thought the performance was ridiculously awful.
I didn't mind the alterations that much, until they got to Totally Fu- excuse me, Totally .... I thought excluding the words was obvious and childish. Seriously... why not just change the lyrics to be "Totally Lame"?
I thought the performance was great in the beginning with Mama Who Bore Me. I don't understand why they had to change so many of the lyrics from Bitch of Living. John Gallagher Jr was really out of breath but I'm sure there was a reason. When we got to Totally F*CKed, the censors kind of annoyed me because it sounded so strange. If I were someone who was just watching the Tonys I would have been so confused. The lighting and everything looked amazing though, like always.

It suckasuckasuckasuckasuckasuck.
Although I did think "Mama Who Bore Me" sounded great. My daughter was in an accapella group at school this year and wish they could have taken a stab at either that or "I Believe."
Foster, "tightly executed" is not a phrase I would use to describe that performance. It was all over the place.
The song transitions were ROUGH. I actually thought that they might have changed the lyrics since I saw it, since they had done that with "Touch Me." The new lyrics for that song are terrible too.
Disgusting.
As someone who's never seen it, and honestly had no intention of seeing it, it certainly made me interested in seeing it.

I liked putting Groff in Bitch of Living and I liked the lyrics. However I thought "Totally F*cked" was terrible.
Why must they do Totally F***ed? Really? It just drew more attention to the lyrics to do that. Geez.
It was really dreadful as a whole-better to do one song really well, IMO, than a bunch in a mediocre way.
