I love Somewhere That's Green. That and Suddenly Seymour. They're such pretty songs...I get to sing them both for my cabaret!...yeah, just thought I'd announce that...oh so random.

Just added Wicked and Avenue Q.
Q is really growing on me, but I haven't seen the show yet.
Thoroughly Modern Millie is still in slot #1, and I still keep another copy in my car.

Wicked, of course, is what I am listening to at work. I couldn't wait for it come out since I saw it in SF. There are many powerful songs.
Last week, it was the studio recording of Jeckyl and Hyde. I've been on a kick recently listening to CDs that I never listen to. Not to long ago, I listened to the original recording of Best Little Whorehouse... I didn't realize it could be fun. The first song "20 Fans" is brilliant in setting up the show.

FAME - This one's for you, Amneris!
"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer
"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher

I have numerous Broadway shows on my iPod, but I'm listening to Wicked right now. I keep replaying Defying Gravity. Loved the show when I saw it last June in SF and couldn't wait for the CD. Finally, after a six month wait, it's here!
