Well.....
- - DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES - Would LOVE to have an OBC recording of the Broadway production, Mandy Gonzalez, Max von Essen, and Asa Somers were amazing in the show....As was the entire ensemble!!!
- - DRACULA - With the Original Broadway Cast!
- - BOMBAY DREAMS - Original Broadway Cast.
.....I'd kind of like to hear Urban Cowboy, and what the hell, Good Vibrations.
See Ya!

I'd love to get Me and Juliet on CD-- it's been out of print for what, a decade? Also, a full recording of Where's Charley-- I love the London cast, but it's OOP now and only has a bit of the title song!
Others on my wish list...

Raggedy Ann
Grover's Corners
A Doll's Life

re: what shows whould you love to see on cd#11
Posted: 6/16/05 at 9:14amOh I would love to see them all. I often wondered why there aren't more on DVD. But I suppose they think that attendence at the theater would drop off even more. There is a play series out there though, on DVD. I can't remember the name of the series though. But there are plenty of broadway musicals I'd love to see on DVD. Why not, at least, do animated versions of some of the musicals. You know, like Lion King, or Beauty and The Beast?

personally, I think every musical should be immortalised through a cast recording. :)
However, a few recordings I would actually buy are -
Metro - The Broadway cast. Metro is my favorite Polish musical, and I really want to hear what they did to it to make it close so quickly on Broadway. :)
Dance Of The Vampires - Mostly for Max Von Essen
Dracula - Well, I miss the show... a lot.
Carrie - Because I'm very curious about the show.

<--- Carrie, obviously.
I have A Doll's Life. One of my faves.
yonah...there is the Polish recording of Metro, which is pretty good...and a video which is not. I saw the show twice during it's run. It sure was a spectacle, but you might as well get the Polish recording because you couldnt understand the actors when they attempted English either. The cast is virtually the same.

re: what shows whould you love to see on cd#21
Posted: 6/16/05 at 2:24pmDemitri2 - La Strada and Kelly both have studio recordings which were recently released on CD. And there is a CD of the revised Off-Broadway production of Platinum, which was retitled as Sunset - A Cabaret Musical. All three are available at Footlight.

Posted: 6/16/05 at 10:17pmMatt, I think the "La Strada" CD you're referring to is Lionel Bart's original score for the show. Unfortunately little of his score was actually used (the CD notes state that only two of his songs made it to Broadway). During rehearsals they scrapped most his music and what opened on Broadway had a score by Elliot Lawrence and Martin Charnin. That's the score I'm still interested in hearing. It's confusing though, for if you go to IBDB it states music by Lionel Bart and additional music by Elliot Lawrence.
