i wonder why she is not doing the show? i know that she is doing the admas faimly now, but i think her role in that is just a supporting role and her role in the first wives club would have been a lead. anyone know what happen? thanks!

Karen Ziemba is a fine performer but she isn't even in the same league as Carmello.

Love Karen Ziemba, well not love but like, but either way the way so many actresses have dropped out (well, not so many, but I mean LaChanze, Ana Gasteyer, and Carmello all left) it seems like the show is not that much of a winner. And remember when they first announced they were looking at Bernadette Peters, Stockard Channing, Olivia Newton-John, and Megan Mullally for the parts? Something tells me they all didn't think the material was up to par.
And can we please use capital letters to spell Carolee Carmello's name? Or hell, can you just spell it correctly?
Ziemba was great in CURTAINS, but really, based on that character it's almost obvious and predictable the way she is going to play the role. I could tell that Carmello wasn't particularly pleased with the way the show was going when they interviewed her and she said she was playing Anne. She said that it'd make more sense to cast her as Elise, but that she was playing Anne.
I'm just confused by the casting. It feels like what the regional premiere cast of FIRST WIVE CLUBS should look like, not the Broadway premiere.
