SPIDER WOMAN REVIEWS IN DC Mar 21
2008, 12:47:06 AM
I saw the Press opening of "Spider Woman" last Sunday and the production blew me away. Until today, all the reviews that were posted were raves until Bob Mondello from the Washington City Paper and Peter Marks from The Washington Post posted not-so-kind reviews. For those of you who saw the show, please leave your comments on the show and the reviews, You can see all the reviews at www.dctheatrescene.com and clicking on THEIR REVIEWS, where you can see all the critical response (so far) to the show. Because the Peter Marks review was posted a few minutes ago, it won't appear in "THEIR REVIEWS" until AFTER 9 AM. http://dctheatrescene.com/their-reviews/ Check out Gary McMillan's rave by clicking on "OUR REVIEWS." http://dctheatrescene.com/category/our-reviews/

I saw the show last night on press night and it's technically brilliant. It's the best lighting and sound I've seen and heard anywhere in a long time. And the set is massive and you feel like you are in prison with "the boys." I'm a big fan of Hunter, Natascia and Will, and they all deliver outstanding performances. The orchestra is perfection. I'll be podcasting cast members in a few weeks and I'll post them here when they are online at DC Theatre Scene. Our NYC Theatre Bu
