I saw this a few days before opening and thought it was painfully bad. The theater was half-full at the start of the first act and a quarter full after intermission if that tells you anything.

The lead has great vocals, but that's about the only good thing I can say. I'd steer clear.

I feel like this is a very online thing and will not impact the show at the box office in any way (other than the unrelated impact of losing Criss). How many people who see any given performance of MHE are even aware Darren Criss is Asian?

Natalie Walker's stylist song is one of the best things in any show running right now. Incredible performance from her. Did not care for anything else in this though.

I saw the second show with Ali and Myra. I think Ali will be pretty good once he settles into the role a little more, but I enjoyed his performance nonetheless. Myra can sing the part but her acting was... rough. The rest of the cast is in great shape - Merle Dandridge has improved immeasurably since the last time I saw her and is probably my favorite Persephone since Amber Gray, Phillip Boykin is perfection as always, and Daniel Breaker has really made the role his own. 

Me and the people I saw this with were SHOCKED that Elisa was an understudy - she was fantastic. Overall, one of the best new musicals of the season and a big surprise for me.

(Whoever decided to keep RWHC as the title of this deserves a stern talking to... "Make It Work" was right there!)

FYI - just came back from the matinee and there was no robot voice announcing years. There WAS a "timeline" insert in the playbill showing where each song falls in the 5 years.

Article says half the tickets will either be distributed for free through TDF or available for rush/lottery for $35. Pretty cool set-up for something with star power like this. The other 50% is probably gonna be crazy though.
