Ooh yeah, you're right. I saw it in the weird period in previews between Billy dropping out and Michael taking over, forgot that he actually did some of the previews.

MHE will struggle to have the same kind of casting success as Hadestown has had to keep it fresh. They have found themselves in a position where they have a very limited pool of actors to pull from in terms of name recognition without getting raked over the coals on social media. I do not envy their position...

I saw the first preview and it was embarrassingly awful. Some of the worst dialogue I've ever had the misfortune of sitting through. You might think from the plot description and cast list that this is about four girls bonding during their time in a music program, but you'd be wrong! It's actually about THREE girls bonding during their time in a music program, and one other character who is completely pointless and uninvolved with the story being told. Seriously, they couldn't

Ragtime finally getting to compete with Jellicle Ball and getting both Revival and Direction seems like a good omen for them. I've been on the verge of switching my Tony predictions to the same winners and this helps... with the caveat that it IS the Drama League Awards. Anyone know offhand if they're more predictive in winners than they are in their insane nominees?
