I understand where Kristin is coming from, but only because I literally just read both of her books back to back for the first time. But (of course) a lot of people seeing her comment didn't. I think these were foolish words, but it's not the first time she's inserted herself into something like this, and it won't be the last. There definitely have been threads dedicated to one performer before. I just feel like there wouldn't be this response if this was about, like, Sutton Foster or someone. I saw this show in previews, so something could have been added, or maybe I just don't remember, but are there any lines or reasons these characters can't be older? If I'm suspending my disbelief to watch singing robots, there's no reason those robots have to be in their 20s. Isn't the whole point that Claire is breaking? I could see that working just as well with someone in their late 30s, early 40s, whatever age honestly. If the helperbots can be as customizable as this
