I'm pretty sure YF is having try-outs in Seattle.

Apparently, she spent two years training in classical opera.

You're also a trained singer?

SEYFRIED
Yeah, I've been doing it longer than acting. I was always into singing. I trained with a Broadway voice coach for nearly five years, and spent two years training for classical opera. It actually started when I sang in a school play.

I agree, also. That wig is hideous. Lilli and Phoebe look absoutely stunning, though!

Jenn no longer covers Wendla. I'm guessing they didn't want to deal with the nudity thing, considering she's underage.

On iTunes, there's a version of Duncan Sheik singing it.

re: **SPOILER** What is the original ending to the play SPRING AWAKENING?

I don't think they made her THAT much more of a "main" character in the musical. I believe the only scene they added her into was the end.

Here's the original play ending, but I have no idea why it was changed for the musical. Maybe it was too confusing?

But the part that made me mad was that the entire audience was laughing during the "beating" part between Melchior and Wendla.

Ugh. I haven't seen the musical yet, but I have seen the play. I thought that was one of the most heartbreaking scenes. I know that people only laugh at those situations because they feel awkward, but it's still completely inexcusible.

FYI, McFrenzied, "There Once Was a Pirate" will still be on the CR.

"The Guilty Ones," a new duet, has replaced "There Once was a Pirate," but Mayer said "Pirate" will still be recorded on the show's cast album, which will be released in early December.

re: La Wicked Cast Announced Early!

I wonder if they're going to add the new words in WWotE?

On broadway, Boq sings "That ball that's being staged announcing Glinda is engaged."

In the London production, they add "to Fiyero" at the end of that line, for whatever reason. It doesn't fit well with the music.

Ciaron -

I agree, the orchestrations are amazing. And I do like Len Cariou (I love in ALNM), but on the 'Sweeney' recording...he just seems to overact a little. And, I also enjoy the rest of the OBC, I just feel the revival cast is stronger overall, if that makes any sense.

I'm sure he, and the rest of the cast, were much more impressive live.

I woud reccommend getting the original recordings of all of those shows, with the exception of 'Sweeney'. Personally, with the exception of Angela Lansbury, I find the revival cast to be much stronger.

I'm also confused about her statements regarding "Little People". Mostly when she says "it wouldn't make sense to have a reprise". What reprise?
