Stephen Pasquale to star in NINE at Kennedy Center Aug 9

I have an extra ticket for the matinee tomorrow (row T, center orch) that I will happily exchange for a twenty dollar bill (or 2 tens, or 4 fives (which are good for hotel tips) ). If anyone is interested, let me know.

We're not seeing this until Saturday, but to address your concern of looking cheap, Follies and Side Show were full productions/revivals. This is part of the Center Stage series which is supposed to be a somewhat stripped down production - kinda like Encores.

I worked the stage door when he came through my theater while touring with Dancin' and we because friends. What a lovely person. This is a very sad day.

It's still there, but not from the drop-down. On the black band at the top of the page, there are three buttons - Main Board, Off Topic, and Buy/Sell. That's the only way I've found to get there.

Just want to say thanks for switching the font back to one that's very readable, and for pinning the top ribbon so it's always there and the page doesn't jump around when scrolling up or down.

Because for once, other than a couple of folks (one in particular), the discussion has been free of vitriol and people are actually discussing something that can be important in a reasonable manner.
I'm mostly impressed. I sincerely hope it doesn't go off the rails.
ETA: I was replying to someone on page 2 asking why the thread hadn't been deleted - meant to quote and not just reply.

RIP Max Woodward, longtime Kennedy Center producer who was instrumental in the '02 Sondheim Celebration and the FOLLIES and RAGTIME revivals Oct 15

Awww... Max was a lovely guy. He was always quite generous with us from The National when we asked to come over to see shows at the Ike. My favorite house manager at the Kennedy Center by far at the time.

If anyone is interested, they do have a build-your-own subscription which can include Sunset and Spider Woman. The catch is you have to buy 3 shows and Guys & Dolls is not on the list.

I bought my Guys & Dolls tickets, then got the other 2 plus 1776 as the third.

And speaking (or typing) of the West End chat board (which I still haven't found), I just saw there's a Spain chat board. In Spanish. Has that always been there and I just never saw it?? Not that I was looking for it, but still... I'm fascinated by this.
ETA: Found the West End board.

I would love to see the show with this touring cast(but I'm also seeing it in Boston, and I live in NJ so I can easily do NYC trips. . . east coast beast coast). To quote the show itself, "we're standing with them." Can't cross a picket line in Hadestown of all things."
Your sentiments are much appreciated!! Fortunately, you don't need to worry about cancellation...

Where in the World? Aug 16

Since I live between DC and Baltimore, most of the theatre I've seen has been in DC/Baltimore and NYC. I've also seen shows in Boston, Providence, Philly, Atlanta, Charleston (SC), Chicago, Santa Fe, Tucson, Los Angeles and San Francisco. And possibly other cities that I've entirely put out of my mind.
Across the Pond, London and Amsterdam. My brother and I were in Amsterdam and decided to see "Sweet Charity" because, why not. As

You sent a check (or for some events, like the World Series, you had to send a money order or cashier's check) for the amount that the seats you were interested in cost. They would send you what they wanted to send you and you'd go and sit in those seats. And it was wonderful because you'd be seeing shows, and concerts, and the World Series!
It does seem so old-fashioned in this day and age. Because it is. But, there were no ticket fees. At lea
