You is one phunny phella. SJB has zero film, music, or TV exposure to merit a potential film adaptation that will cost millions to produce. Block is only known to Broadway aficionados. Even winning a Tony Award for THE CHER SHOW did zero to catapult her to other entertainment mediums.

Uh, Stephanie J Block has been in films and television, and she has a solo album. Maybe not a big name in them, but she certainly has more than “zero” exposure in all three areas you listed.

DeBose won an Oscar for a featured supporting role of an ensemble film. She did not play a leading role that carried the entire film. Norma Desmond is a lead role. I’m referring to Block not being at the ranking level of a Meryl Streep, which is what studios will solely be looking at to headline a major film of SUNSET BLVD. Amusing how y’all see this realistic logistical breakdown as “bitterness.”

Aurora/Spider Woman is typically a major dance role. Katrina Lenk has the perfect look and voice, but she's more of an "actor who sings," no? Anyway, love that Kiss of the Spider Woman is getting a major production. I don't know why it is so infrequently produced.

YES and YES!"
Katrina would be excellent, and before anyone complains, she’d be fine in the Vanessa Williams keys. The score is more within her wheelhouse than Company.
I do think they’d likely go with someone of Hispanic /Latina heritage. Karen Olivo would’ve been wonderful before she retired.
So excited to see this musical live finally.

This series is like a Kennedy Center version of ENCORES, produced by Jeffrey Finn. Past designs have been a little more elaborate than Encores, but the orchestras are onstage. This is the same series that did Norm Lewis in MUSIC MAN, Raul Esparza & co in CHESS, and Skylar Astin in HOW TO SUCCEED.

I'm a bit confused on how their subscription works.I only see a handful of shows listed in the subscription. Will I unlock the ability to buy tickets to this if I get a season subscription?
