Biggest broadway flop
 Oct 30 2012, 05:55:28 PM
thank God that somebody posted that list.............I was feeling so depressed that I was getting real old, when nobody mentioned the megaflop of the mid sixties..... the fabulously awful KELLY
FRANKIE VALLI AND THE FOUR SEASONS Headed to Broadway
 Aug 16 2012, 09:23:53 AM
saw Frankie Valli recently at a Casino. Forget the rest of the group, they weren't even born during Valli's hey days......I swear some of His falsettos were pre-recorded, i hope not but I think so.......Frankie, you need to retire gracefully......you had a great career, don't ruin our wonderful memories of the original Jersey sound
Is Anyone Here Also A Member Of All That Chat?

both sites are full of "wannabe" theatre insiders......most of whom are really students and/or interns. BWW is more interesting to read because of some of the
'bizzare" postings.

re: Will Phantom Ever Close?

it will be running as long as there are Asian tourists paying full price at the box office and as long as they have that group sales department targeting high schools in the tri state area. Love the sight of those school buses clogging up 8th and 44th every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon.

GODSPELL to Close on Broadway June 24
 Jun 13 2012, 03:35:55 PM
Gvendo or 'babe' or 'hon' or whatever you like to be called.....aren't you that college kid from Rhode Island, who is living in his own world of theatre fascination? Whatever turns you on kid. Just have fun, how's you pending Broadway production coming along?
Ejection at Magic/Bird
 Apr 14 2012, 03:43:10 PM
Namo..........what exactly is a 'Drama Kid"......my 17 year old nephew plays varsity baseball for a catholic high school on Staten Island (and is being heavily recruited by several colleges) , yet he loves to go the theatre. He prefers non- musical plays yet did like spring awakening. Is he having identity problems that require him to go to therepy?
Raven-Symone out today
 Apr 5 2012, 08:24:47 AM
would someone tell me, who Raven is? I don't watch much TV I guess but who is she.......and am I missing the second coming if I don't see her in the show? I really didn't enjoy it the first time.

Leave Gvendo alone. HIs posts are now more bizarre than angry.
He is very busy writing his adaptation for Broadway, and I am anxiously waiting for opening night at a theatre to be announced. However he really should get back on bhis meds.

plenty of tourist dollars available for both shows to go thru the summer and maybe until the end of the year. Both are popular brand names and will sell well at TKTS......HOWEVER DISCOUNT SALES MIGHT HELP YOU BREAK EVEN EACH WEEK BUT WILL NOT HELP PRODUCERS SHOW AN EVENTUAL PROFIT
Godspell versus JCS
 Mar 18 2012, 09:41:09 AM
two different musical styles provide two enjoyable envenings of theatre for the average theatre goer. Have seen both productions and enjoyed both. Neither was great but that's Broadway these days. I must admit though as my ears get older I have less tolerence for a lot of the screeching in JCS......PS I think it was a stroke of genius putting Godspell in the Circle in the Square. I don't feel it would have survived very long in a larger house such as the Barrymore, where it was scheduled to g
where did broadway shows rehearse before new 42?

the variety arts may be 'late' but was never 'great'......what a dump........only the harlequin was worse
Godspell seating
 Jan 29 2012, 08:25:37 AM
The poster was asking about thier seats, not your opinion of the show, which probably has many more admirers than detractors. Have a nice day, I'm flying out to Chicage tomorrow on business and my seat location is B3, how is my seat?
S*** Broadway Gays Say

I thought it was hilarious......don't let the thin skinners get your goat.....It reminded me of a conversation I overheard the other day at the Westway Diner.....
national tour vs. Broadway- preference for actors?
 Jan 17 2012, 12:57:41 PM
An actor is a 'journeyman'. He has to go where the work is. No actor (at least none that need to make a living) makes a conscious decision whether or not to tour. He hopes for the day (which to often never comes) when he might have the opportunity to have a stable life and not live out of a suitcase. I hate touring at my age, even though I have some fond memories, especially when I had to help move props off-stage, stumbled and broke my nose (didn't even miss a performance). An actor can n

nasty, nasty.......on the road, doing your laundry is more importnt than hooking up.......you can always recognise the bed swithcers, they show up at the theatre looking like **** and having cat fights with their castmates......when y ou are my age you enjoy the comfort of going back to your nice private hotel room and watching jimmy fallon......
national tour vs. Broadway- preference for actors?
 Jan 14 2012, 05:04:38 PM
Sorry, don't want to hog space but I forgot one important thing.......stay away from tours with children (They and their traveling mothers are so obnoxious) unless you can find a mother, who can iron.......took me months to grow my hair back and to mentally recoup from a tour of ANNIE.....
national tour vs. Broadway- preference for actors?

touring........UGH.....
Production per diem is OK unless, like me, you like a private room in a nice hotel

going to a laundromat or hotel laundry room sucks at 2AM

try to find a decent restaurant at 11:39PM

hotel room service usually stinks and is very expensive.

Very boring life style unless you drink a lot and like gay dance clubs

the theatres are usually located downtown and these days cities close up at 6PM....even hard to see a movie during t
