Well at last night's show, two women in their late 40s sit behind me. First off they came in 10 minutes late. Then the preceed to cheer on Larry Bird like he was Larry Bird. They really thought they were at a basketball game. Drunk is too kind of a word for their state. Well their yelling and cheering went on for half of the show, at one point the one behind me picked up my long hair and caressed it. YUCK!!!! Finally the woman behind them went to management. First the ushers told them to shut up. When that didn't work they called security over and they gave them one last chance which didn't last for more than 2 minutes and finally they were asked to leave the theater. The one who touched my hair was in disbelief with a million "are you serious". I turned around and said yes. I have never experienced an ejection at the theater.

The only thing that's surprising to me is that it took so long. They sat through half of the show like that and no one reported them, warned them, or came over to kick them out? If their behavior was as bad as you described I wouldn't have put up with it.

Scratch and claw for every day you're worth! Make them drag you screaming from life, keep dreaming You'll live forever here on earth.

Well they were sitting in the next to the last row in the left orchestra, that was part of it. We shussed them plenty. They would keep their drunk yaps closed for 5 minutes and then it would start again. One of them was trying to keep the other quiet. It obviously didn't work. I wondered where the ushers were that usually stand at the back of the orchestra. Were they waiting for someone to complain?

And this is why drama kids hate the jocks.

Namo..........what exactly is a 'Drama Kid"......my 17 year old nephew plays varsity baseball for a catholic high school on Staten Island (and is being heavily recruited by several colleges) , yet he loves to go the theatre. He prefers non- musical plays yet did like spring awakening. Is he having identity problems that require him to go to therepy?

And what does this have to do with "jocks". The ones making the disturbance was two almost 50 year old women......not men. It could have been at any show. One of them kept on yelling she has had a thing for Bird for 25 years. Could have been Cheyenne Jackson as well. She was just a rude drunk beeyotch.

Duh, ladies can be jocks. Or even worse, athletic supporters like the two who ruined the night at the theater. Who among us hasn't starred in a high school production that was ruined by the hoots and hollers from the audience every time the one jock who deigned to audition and got a part walked onstage? They ruin everything.

Isn't it hard to have an ejection if you are wearing an athletic supporter?

According to Patti LuPone's biography, no.

I see they are enforcing the 2 Technicals and you're ejected rules. As it should be in an NBA production. Luckily Tim Donaghy wasn't the ref, they might still be in their seats.

Maybe it's time for this company to branch out into the arts.
