The only Disney movie I'd actually pay to see on broadway, would be MULAN. It's my all-time favorite
re: Chorus line, Curtains, or another show?  Jul 30 2007, 02:06:58 PM
I'm really torn on this. I saw them both, and I think they're both equally entertaining. But if I had to choose, I would go with Curtains.

I think ACL is going to be around for quite a while, Curtains may not be here very much longer.

Also, Curtains still has its amazing OBC. It's very entertaining, and it is Kander & Ebbs last collaboration, sorta.

re: Listen to the CD or See the Show First?  Jul 26 2007, 05:27:05 PM
I tend to listen first because you know which song is which and you become much more familiar with the show.
re: Misheard Lyrics That Have Left You Puzzled  Jul 10 2007, 04:54:35 PM
In "Ain't No Party" (Dreamgirls), she is so hard for me to understand.
I, in all honesty, thought she was saying "murder" when she says marry.
The lines would be:
"My momma wants know when you gonna murder me."
"When you gonna murder me?"

And in "All That Jazz" I always hear "Did she hear? Her baby's queer" instead of the real line.

re: Is 'Curtains' worth seeing?  Jul 1 2007, 01:47:17 PM
It's worth it. I thought there wasn't one song I didn't like when I saw it. Later, when I got the album, I realized that there were some songs I didn't like, and I realized the performances were what made me like them. The performances are stellar and even if the song isn't amazing, they perform the heck out of them. Obviously it has its share of flaws, but I saw right past them. The superb cast is what really makes the show.

I know it's rap but "I'll be missing you" - Diddy.
re: Holliday and Hudson STUNNER  Jun 27 2007, 10:56:35 AM
I didn't really care for Holliday in this. Which is suprising because I'm a HUGE fan. I think she'll never out-do her performance @ the 1982 Tony's. Jennifer Hudson was much more enjoyable in this. I don't know, Holliday was just strange.
re: Debra Monk...  Jun 26 2007, 04:15:44 PM
I thought Debra Monk was great in Curtains. She really encompassed that character. I LOVE HER!

Is it likely that 110 IN THE SHADE close on July 31st or will they renew or something?
re: Music & Lyrics: The Musical  Jun 23 2007, 01:57:09 PM
If it were to be made into a musical, I think Matthew Morrison could definently play the lead.
re: For fans of the musical Nine...  Jun 23 2007, 01:48:01 PM
I much much much prefer the original Call From Vatican to the new one. I love Jane to death, but hers doesn't compare.
