Ticket Question
 Jan 2 2025, 06:30:15 PM

If anyone could help me, I’d really appreciate it.

My dad got me a gift certificate for Ticket Master for Xmas. I wish he asked me- I would have suggested Telecharge (or cash). Anyway, when I purchase tickets, I always go to the official show site, which usually takes me to Telecharge. I was considering seeing Our Town. The official website takes me to Telecharge to buy tickets.  When I go directly to the Ticketmaster site, it says it also has tickets to

Memorable Moments on Stage in 2024?

My favorite moment is the climax of Oh, Mary.

2025 - What Shows Are You Highly Anticipating
 Dec 28 2024, 05:18:43 PM

I’m most intrigued by Dead Outlaw. That was not on my radar when it was Off Broadway. It looks a little dark, a little odd, so totally up my alley. I keep stalking the site for ticket updates.

I have a ticket to the Groff thing. I just love him. I didn’t think I’d even see it, but then I saw the teaser and splurged on a table seat. I am such a sucker. (As long as he doesn’t sit and read from a script, I won’t be disappointed.)

I have a tic

ALL IN: COMEDY ABOUT LOVE Reviews
 Dec 22 2024, 09:28:12 PM

Vincentelli nailed my reaction to the show but much more articulately than I ever could. I can’t lie, I arrived salty. The website still says “performed by” not read by…  when I bought my ticket, I thought I’d be seeing a play.  I guess the stories are performed, but it’s a stretch.  I laughed a bit. There were many cutesy moments-too cutesy for me. The woman beside me kept going “awww” and I felt like gagging. I hate that t

ALL IN: COMEDY ABOUT LOVE Previews

I was wondering how they’d get this up and running so quickly. Now it makes perfect sense. I love John Mulaney - I know many find him problematic, but I find him super funny. I also love “69 Love Songs,” so needless to say, I was all in on this-pun not intended. I spent $300 of my kindergarten teacher salary to see it next weekend and I’m soooooo disappointed. I’ll still go, but yeah… it’s a bummer.

THE COUNTER at Roundabout
 Oct 4 2024, 09:15:42 PM

I was peeking in to see if anyone saw this. I hadn’t heard much about this production, but I’m always drawn to stories about seemingly ordinary people. Anyway, I really enjoyed it. I thought it was such a lovely story of empathy and friendship. I saw it last weekend and keep thinking about it. I completely agree with the seating. It’s puzzling. I sat in the middle section of the orchestra so I had a good view. If I had gotten a side seat, I would have been pretty upset.

Shorts in the theater
 Jul 11 2024, 07:55:52 PM

I am team shorts.

Recently, I saw Merrily and wore linen shorts with a matching vest. Felt cute. Most of the day is spent walking around outside. Personally, I wouldn’t wear denim cutoffs to the theater, but I don’t see anything wrong with shorts.

OH, MARY! Previews

Haven’t posted on this board in ages.  I saw the show last night.  I really enjoyed it.  I laughed a lot, but thought it was a teeny bit overhyped. (I had built it up a lot.) The laughs per minute ratio wasn’t quite there for me, but comedy is so subjective.  I loved the ending.

Anyway, does anyone know the songs played preshow? They’d make a jaunty mix to get my butt moving at the gym.

Also, I have a ticket for July 18

Messaged you. Am I too late?

I literally gasped at the OP.

I saw the show a approximately 20 times at the Jane and 7 or 8 times on Broadway.
These are my rankings of the actors I’ve seen.

1. JCM  (I’ve definitely seen him the majority of my viewings)

2. Michael Cerveris (3 times)

3. Kevin Cahoon (once)

4. Matt McGrath (once)

5. Michael C. Hall (once)

6. Neil Patrick Harris (3 times) I was at the first preview and then went a couple more times. I was so happy the sho

One of my closest friends got me a cameo for my birthday from John Cameron Mitchell (my fav!) and I loved it. He changed the lyrics to Wig in a Box to be anti-Trump. It was fun. He recommended a couple shows.  He talked about his dying mom, which seemed odd in a birthday message.  It definitely had a melancholic tone, but everything’s been awful in 2020, so I get it. I’ve never looked to see what she spent, because I don’t want to think about it. I&r

What made Natasha Richardson so brilliant as Sally?
 Feb 21 2020, 07:43:51 PM

I was lucky enough to see her performance. I just loved her. It’s difficult to say exactly what made it so affective, but she seemed so broken. She just made me ache.  Her voice wasn’t the strongest, which I felt worked better for the character. She was so endearing to me.  I thought that whole production was fantastic. I saw it at the Kit Kat Club. We sat at a table off to the side.  At one point, Alan Cumming sat at our table and started chatting. It was a special

I’ve been seeing shows for a long time. I’m old. This was excessive. I’ve never seen anything like it. It was like a sprinkler.

Edited to add... I’ve seen him 3 other times. This was different. I really think something was off.

Could someone please tell me in spoiler text, if there is any animal abuse? I’m kind of sensitive to animal stuff-particularly dog stuff.  I want to see this, but I need to prepare myself if there is animal

Little Shop of Horrors (PREVIEWS)

Kind of an odd question...

First of all, I LOVED the show. Loved it! I was at Saturday’s matinee. I wondered if Groff could have been sick.  I’ve never seen someone sweat so much at a show. He spit so much when he was singing. I was very close.  Right up front, row B. I really thought he had to have a fever. At the start of act 2, he had a wet head-like he showered during intermission. Does he always have a wet head? I loved the show, I thought everyone sounded fa
