It's pretty funny they're reuniting the original cast in the UK for two weeks of performances and then... fly them all to Chicago the following week to film it?

Correct! They do state in the press release that they're filming the "original cast" though.
(also, it's pretty common for shows to want to use the original cast when finally getting

The casting for the pro-shot was AMAZING. Literally an all-star Aladdin cast. The only reason for them to not release it is probably the unexpected extended Broadway run of the show. Hopefully they do it this year, because as Hamilton showed them, the pro-shot will only help sales

Loved seeing this live last week. If you embrace the campiness of it all, it's a joy to watch. Really hoping they'll manage to survive the winter months, this terrific cast really deserves it.
