This filming wasn’t planned when she was signed up to the show, so no."
Or maybe she wanted to get back onstage after years of being away. I bet she jumped at the chance to return to a performance that garnered her accolades and praise.

What trouble? Lol. They literally changed the entire production to fit Sutton's version from Broadway because Megan Mullaly pulled out so last minute. This revival was originally described as a departure from the Broadway revival, and supposed to be way less dancy, so Sutton just had to pull out her muscle memory. She probably just really wanted to return to the stage, for the first time on the West End, in a role she is beloved in, and this filming is just an unexpected cherry on top for her. So thrilled her truly magnificent performance is being recorded.
They/them.

I'm ecstatic to hear this was filmed! I saw the production on Broadway back in 2011 and while I found Sutton to be excellent, I thought she did come off as a bit young for the role. I'm so excited to see how she has matured into the role. We're so lucky to be receiving so many more filmed theater productions.
The London revival will be screened in UK cinemas November 28th - 30th with a final screening on December 1st. While screening times vary by venue, most will begin at 7:30PM. The recorded performance runs 155 minutes and will combine footage from three performances recorded live at the Barbican Centre.
Further screening dates along with worldwide release news (which is expected) will be released by mid-next week.
I know the announcement hasn't come yet, but does everyone think this will be released outside of the UK? I would be beyond thrilled to catch this in the US.

As someone who has worked in post-production of countless projects, this can be edited in a few hours if needed. A release date has zero relevancy to post-production work. Any film can be edited in a few days if required. ANYTHING GOES is a live performance taping not a lavish Marvel Comics action-picture with heavy CGI work that takes months.
