I heard the time is now only two and a half hours including intermission so they must have made some cuts

Just curious...how can you actually tell whether someone is singing live or not...other than obvious flubs?

It's not just a matter of time...it's already way overdue.
WIcked doesn't have any alternates, but the standbys should do both matinees plus whenever else the principal can't.

Unless they're just recently changed, or unless maybe specific actresses need it, Wicked has historically not used their standbys on any kind of regular planned basis. They just go on whenever the principal calls out. If this doesn't happen, they may not go on at all for weeks. Alternatively, when Vicki was standby for Teal in San Francisco, she was on every night for weeks (months?) while Teal was out on vocal rest, followed by continuing to do the part very, very often even when she ame bac

Teal was never able to return to the full 8 shows/week in San Francisco. If she's actually got a six month contract, maybe they're planning to have Jennifer do a couple of shows a week on a regular basis as kind of an unofficial partial alternate -- something I wish they would do with all productions, but especially with this one.
She had a big fan base in San Francisco. I mean no criticism of her and wish her only the best. I just find it surprising, given her history with vocal prob

Maybe it's just going to be a very short run -- a couple of months like Marcie had before she left for the 2nd tour lead.
Other than that, I can't imagine what they're thinking since she was out for months in San Francisco and was never able to return full time. Why should this be different, even after being out for a while again. Doing that role 8 times a week is tough on anyone's voice, but with so many problems it seems unlikel she'll be able to do that schedule for very long.
