Cue the chorus saying that none of this is sincere and that she wants and plans for her actors to get hurt. 5 4 3 2... Nevamind.

Well she didn't deny eating young puppies as soon as their eyes open after killing their moms.

What is it? 22 hours after the accident... The PR team has been all over Twitter/FB saying all is OK.
I don't like all the cover up. Obviously someone is getting paid. I hope producers arent giving $$$$$ to Equity for them not to pull the plug.
It will take someone getting killed or an audience member hurt to close it. Plain and simple.

What about the audience???

It ain't your "family," Julie.
Cut the con job.
Perfect statement. Thank you, Ms. Taymor.
PitPro he didn't land in the orchestra pit, he landed in a trapped area of the stage, that has been consistently misrepresented in the media as the orchestra pit.
My friend who was there said he landed on shards of broken glass that Taymor left there as a joke to the cast to not fall unless they wanted to get really hurt. I guess it's not so funny now.

What is "a trapped area of the stage"?
Well my friend says it's an area of the stage that is "trapped", for lack of a better word.
snowskittle- I think it's just basically a trap-door hole in the stage that can be used for entrances and exits, but the orchestra isn't under there.

Huh? Anybody got a better explanation for "trapped area"?
Well I just asked my friend and he said it's a trap-door hole in the stage that can be used for entrances and exits, but the orchestra isn't under there.

Thanks Eos. I was responding to Jordan but appreciate your explanation.
It's basically an area of the stage deck (floor) that has the ability to be opened/exposed to the area beneath the stage.
I haven't seen Spider-Man but as I understand it, the bridge (that the actor fell from) rises out of the stage and leaves a trapped opening below it (that he fell into).
My friend saw Spiderman and said the same thing.
Oh, Jordan... :)
