My take: solid production, ultimately disappointing. Aimee Carrero's Honey was excellent though, the funniest person onstage AND the most moving.Each performer was clearly a VERY good actor but...they mostly were operating in too narrow of emotional ranges to sustain three hours onstage. And the direction was unimaginative -- again, totally workmanlike but...very rarely surprising or arresting.A lot of the blame IMHO is Quinto as George...I've loved him onscreen and in The Glass Menagerie on ...

I'll be there tonight and will report back! It's one of my favorite plays -- I don't particularly see Quinto and Flockhart as George and Martha, but hoping to be pleasantly surprised!(It's also their last show of a 5-show-weekend, and it's preview week, so if they're doing it right, they're probably going to be EXHAUSTED)

Saw it tonight -- enjoyed it. Would NOT describe it as "hilarious," or recommend it to most friends except the nerdiest, but it's certainly madcap and never boring. Seth Numrich and Tom Hollander give great performances. What a slog at this juncture. We couldn't wait for it to end last night. I have NO doubt it will improve with weeks of previews to go, but speaking as an O'Neill fan but complete Iceman Cometh virgin -- me and my friend just couldn't even follow what was going on. I don't want to name names early in previews, but several of the Tony-winning etc supporting players were incomprehensible for more than half their lines, the accents were delightful in theory but diction was SORELY lacking, especia...

Thanks, yeah it's not Ticketmaster. And yeah I figure it'll start a few min late it's partly the principle of the thing that galls me, such a dumb setup! And also some Broadway theaters don't get great cell service too...

Um...so I just won the digital lottery to tomorrow's Wedns matinee of Angels in America part one.. SO stoked!!! Was going to be up at 7am rushing it otherwise. BUT the evening lottery for part two is separate. And you find out if you won at *1pm* Wedns--and you have an hour to buy the tickets. Part one BEGINS at 1pm. In NYC for exactly a week starting tmrw, hoping to see a bunch of shows, and for the Broadway shows listed above, wondering if anyone has a recent experience to share re: how early to show up for any of their respective rushes! Saw it Saturday and found it...eh. Handful of funny lines interspersed amongst a stupid plot and stale humor. Transitions best part. Ben Brantley was sitting near me; maybe he just has a critic's poker face but he didn't look like he was having fun.

Can tell everyone exactly when the last person got in line who got tickets today--7.40am. I would know because we got in line at 7.45am and were the first to get only standby line vouchers (and this after getting tickets Sunday and having the show canceled due to rain, after standing in the rain an hour--no luck!). We were way ahead of the rock in line and everybody had said we'd be fine. There were a handful of 1am and 2am people at the front of the line, along with a bunch of scalpers. I'm ...
